For those of us watching hurricane Frances...

They just announced on the press report that as of Friday at noon they will not be accepting anymore commercial airlines into Orlando airport.

Stay safe everyone! We will keep you in our prayers here.

Fill up your tub with water and every other container you can.

If I lived closer you'd be welcome to stay with me.........

How's everybody holding up?

We're on the west coast south of Tampa and we're getting fast moving rain/wind squalls. Nothing big so far...it rains, it's done, it rains, it's done...on and off all day. I guess it will get worse as the evening goes on.

I'm curious as to what the final path will be. Looks like they no longer have any clue and we'll just have to wait and see.

We've had rain on and off since about noon. The waiting is horrible. Within the next hour, we are suppose to start with the never ending 10 hour rains.

Be safe everyone!

Anyone here know anyone in Pompano Beach? My grandmother (whose name is Frances!) lives in Coconut Creek, FL and has been without power all day. So far, no damage but I know it is not over yet!

We are doing fine in So Fla. I am near the dade broward line and by the bay and it has rained today but not really ever that hard. Had some good wind gusts and a steady wind . Lost a bannana tree early on and power for 2 hours only. So I am counting this as a good day when it could have been so much worse. Pixie dust for everyone in the path. Weirdest hurricane I have ever been in. My 5yr DD has been wearing her Mickey sorceror hat all day yesterday and today because "mickey is magic and he will protect WDW" Gotta love her priorities.:D

I live in Coconut Creek! LOL but not in Coconut Creek on the east coast. We're in Ft. Myers, a subdivision.
We are w/o a doubt going to lose power any minute. I think we are sensitive because we just got power back not that long ago.
I am starting to hear the winds howl, it must be making it's way over the east coast.
here we go again...................

Wow, I didn't know there was more than one Coconut Creek!

Things are back to normal already for my grandmother, the brunt of it all went north of her. She's been really lucky with hurricanes, they all seem to go north of her, she was down there when Andrew hit and that was also north. I hope her luck does not run out!

Anyone know if there is damage along 192 or on Disney property??
