We purchased via phone and our guide told us that she hadn't seen any of the Aulani goodies yet, but that if there was something we specifically wanted, to let her know (i.e., a pin, etc.). She told me there had been two BLT pins produced. That got me to thinking... do different presentations have different goodies... and if so, what are they?

Sooooo, if you go to a presentation and get an Aulani goodie, can you post a description and/or photo of it here? Pins, hats, fliers, whatever! That way, all of us who weren't logistically able to attend in person can feel like part of the fun too.

Many thanks! =)

I second that suggestion.

I'm still holding out hope that they'll do a presentation / event at the woodflied mall retail location this fall, that and maybe they'll have more stuff when we head to WDW in December.

We did receive a special pin at last night's D23/DVC presentation. It had the DVC logo and some hawaiian theme -- but I didn't get a chance to look at it closely. We also received a metal-type water bottle with both logos: D23 on one site; DVC on the other.

I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to take a photo this weekend ... but will add the idea to my list.

Sorry, I don't have photos to post (my husband is out of town and has the camera). But I can describe what we received.

- DVC pin. Not specific to Aulani. Looks like a tropical/beach local with Mickey lounging in a hammock between 2 palm trees.
- DVC portfolio. Dark brown with gold lettering. Looks like it's "leather-like" and not leather. open it up and there's a pocket on the left and 8x11 pad of paper on the right. pen included. front cover has Mickey with a suitcase infront of globe with Mickey Ears. Disney Vacation Club is printed on the bottom.
- blue DVC tote bag with large color logo on the front. It's about the size of a paper grocery bag. has shoulder length handles.

Hope that helps!

Was there a huge line to take pics w/Mickey & Minnie? Did they allow pics or were the characters just making a "drive by"...the email said a dance party. We're going to let the kiddo nap late to hopefully be fresh enough to take pics w/Mickey & Minnie after the presentation. Sorry for all the questions...we're just really excited

There wasn't a line at all. The 9am event was not crowded, the presentation room was maybe 1/4 full. I think it was a hard time for most - 9am on a weekday. After the presentation, a lot of people went right to their guides to add-on, so that left 50 or so at the reception (i'm bad at gauging crowd #s, but it wasn't a lot). Most people who stayed headed straight for the food :rotfl:, which I will add was delicious - huge fresh fruit displays, muffins (it was early so breakfast faire was offered). There were just a few people with Mickey and Minnie (Minnie was really dancing it up to "Party in the USA" - it was funny to watch her get down!)

I'd expect the weekend or evening events to have more people. Here's my suggestion: sit on the right hand side of the presentation room (near the front if you can). We were funneled up some short stairs on the front of that side (next to stage) to get to the reception level. Then head straight to Mickey and Minnie (do not stop at food). Mickey and Minnie will be on the left hand side of the reception area. Good Luck!!!v:thumbsup2

oh, forgot about the little Menehune. It's a 3" high replica. Supposed to be a mischevious mythical creature - looks like a little Tiki. It's kind of cool - says DVC on the bottom.

Wow...you're good. I love having a strategy before entering a room  DH might have a hard time not stopping at the food display though :lmao:

Can someone give me details on the Aulani presentations? When/where? We will be at WDW next week and I would LOVE to go to one! Our guide apparently left DVC sometime this year, since we did get notified that we have a new guide (don't remember his name). I am concerned that we are not getting information we should be because of this. I'd appreciate any info about this event!!:goodvibes

Not purchasing but confident that I'll be able to make a reservation at 7 months!

Can't wait for Aulani, September, 2013! A very very long time away, but will be fun to dream about first trip to Oahu! 10 nights I think will do it for us!

Wow, this will be a magnificent resort!

This is the highlight of my DVC membership!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

The Aulani event is at the Disneyland Hotel. I haven't heard of a similar event at WDW.

I so want to get one of those pin, can someone kind enough to part with one?? Please Please Please!!

This is correct. Our guide told me that they are continuing the BLT presentations but that they did not receive any of the promotional material (pins, etc.) for Aulani at their location. It makes me sad that we purchased right away and still don't get a special pin or menehune. I think marketing should do something about that. :sad1:

THANK YOU!!! Yes, it's Menehune!! my daughter and I were racking our brains trying to remember the name. Thank you!!!

 I read that and thought...I'm no expert on Hawaiian folklore but I've not heard of wohene...but your description was right. I think of them like leprachans LOL, just Hawaiian.
