My hubby and I are leaving in 8 days!!!! I can't wait! It will be our first time staying at DVC-we bought last February-so it feels like forever since we bought and have yet to use it !

We're going for 11 nights. Thanksgiving to December 8th!!!!! (Our only dilemma right now is that our flight gets in at 5 and our ressies at Trail's End are at 8 and Virgin flight from London is notoriously late-by 2 hours sometimes!) So we are a little stressed about having a Thanksgiving dinner-but I guess fast food from AKL is better than a Thanksgiving dinner at home!

I just can't believe it's almost here-we planned this trip before we even bought into DVC-almost 11 months ago!

I'm sitting at work right now and I can't focus-I just want it to be next Thursday already!!!!!!

My boys are so excited about our trip that I'm finding myself ticking down the time myself.

Okay, so here's my question: We have never been there in December. Do you really think we could wear sandals and shorts? We've been in January and were defintely not wearing sandals, but t-shirts. I'm really struggling with packing for 2 kids and making sure they aren't sweating or freezing. Just checked the 15 day forecast (yes, I realize it could be way wrong) but it says low 70's during the day and 40's-50's at night.

well I dont think winter coats are needed. When we went in Dec of 2004 some of the days felt like they were in the 80's and the nights in the 50's but again it was vice versa on some days.

Bring some sweatshirtsand track pant but dont forget the shorts and sunscreen. I wore shorts pretty much all day and a few days sweat shirt with shorts and sandles.

Keep in mind the pools and water parks are heated.Just have fun and enjoy.

We are leaving dec 5th and going to universal studios and ioa on dec 6th. then the next day is no parks, but resort hopping to enjoy the resort decorations and dtd to have earl of sandwich and build our own light sabres and collection of mr patato head parts.

then the next day we check in for 9 days at Disney...then we come home from disney we have 5 days off before head to work and then it's 3 days till Christmas and off for 4 days. This truly rocks...

Frost warning tonight in Orlando......be forwarned ---- on occassion it CAN be cold. I have been there when it's in the 40's and windy for Illuminations...earl December - ug!

We have a sure-fire solution. We bring all our cloths to stay warm when it's cold.....and it doesn't drop out of the 80's!!!!

I'm packing this weekend and will once-again pack to stay warm.....so we all are safe the first week of December!!!

I use the same trick for golfing. If it looks like rain, I bring an umbrella and it'll never rain. The one time I don't and it pours.

I soooooo am with those of you verging on the stress line!!!!
I had myself so worked up I actually had to take 3 days "off" from the Disboards so I could get some work done!!!!

I'M NOT READY YET!!! I'm still pulling together our spending money and need more time!!! I know it will all be fine!! I can't wait to get there so I can stop all the pre-trip worrying!!!!!!

This is our third trip, and I guess I thought it would be easier. Instead, I am feeling more stressed about what we need to get/do/plan in the last week before we go--getting new CF cards for the cameras, getting the grocery delivery order in...well, order, making sure we have all the clothes we need for a December trip (plan for everything!)...the list feels longer than ever!

It is almost here....5 more days!!!! We come home atleast twice a year and we are never ready!! My wife will get the wash done the night before, I'll pack the following morning and pray we didn't forget anything, and as for money, I wonder if the government would subsidize this trip!!!!!!
I know though that once we get there all worries melt away and we forget about the outside world so I can't wait to start clearing my head!
P.S. My wife carries a bag with a million "Tink" pins on it (DEBBIE) and I carry a green backpack with some pins and the disny bag tag shaped like a mickey hand. Also we both have the "green mickey"s" on the bags also so if you see us say hello...It is always great to meet other disney-files like us!!

I am so excited that I have been posting everywhere that we will be leaving in 6 days! Staying at CBR and my two daughters (4) (2) parents and hubby are all going WOOO HOOOO!!

I too need this vacation (as I am sure everyone does) my little one misses her daddy (he works in a restr with HORRIBLE HOURS) so much lately that she carries a pic around with her...
