 Thank you for this!! I had kind of a blech day (not so great news at my doctor's appointment times three :sad1:), and now I'm really excited about our trip...the week after next! :goodvibes

Thanks for the happy thoughts. I can't believe that it's only 16 more days and we leave. So much stuff happening at work that I can't wait to leave even if it only for 4 days.

:santa:  :santa:  :santa:

I just did the same thing, we leave in 18 days. I was sitting here with DH and going over our plans for the next couple weeks and said "OH NO! I HAVE TO PACK"

This is why I love these boards :) we leave 6 am December 1st driving from SC.

We had a really bleh day.

Bleh #1
We get 2 cracks in our windshield from a rock an 18 wheeler spun up while passing us as we are getting onto the freeway. Mind you we just had gotten that windshield replaced by our insurance company 1 month ago for the same reason. ( SC insurance will replace 1 winshield a year for free ) I knew it was too good to be true ;)

Bleh #2
We had to pay 100 bucks to get it fixed

Bleh# 3
Our 2 year old was of devil spawn today as we were in the mall shopping for our trip of things we needed to buy.

Bleh # 4
We came home from this awful day to find out our 2nd hand car won't start. It's a piece of junk anyway but it's gets my husband from point a to point b. Now we have to use the family car until we can get a new starter for it, which means I have to run my daily errands around his schedule.

Which I have to say we are Navy - there is no such thing as a "schedule" when it comes to his job.

So reading the OP's post has helped quite a bit today :) thank you for posting!

Things could always be worse but sheesh today was one of those when it rains it pours days.

Yeah, I just came over from the transportation board where everyone is an "expert" and really just passing bad info onto novice unsuspecting people(double bleh). I came over here for a little pick me up. Maybe I'm just in a mood, but I had to call a few people on their misinformation. I realize there is "no pixie dust on the transportation board" and we're mostly matter of fact and to the point. But, I too needed a little pick-me-up.

On to happier thoughts, about the happiest place on Earth.:wizard:

I threw together a trip in just two days, had ressies by the 4th day..... this came about really, really quickly and it's now almost time to leave!! Whooo hooo!

Disneyfreak33~ :wave2: from another (former) Navy family. :)

We leave November 30. :)

I'm alternating between excited  and freaking out :scared1:

I can't wait to be there, but I'm still working on what to pack.

Yup, I'm too excited to sleep too! I'm not saying I'm putting all my eggs in one basket, but it has been a rough couple of weeks and I'm hoping this vacation is just the turn-around I need. Then I think our Disney time is over for sure until our planned 10/10/10 trip. DD is hinting there will be a wedding coming up! Hurray! Totally worth skipping 2 years if it means giving her a wonderful wedding.:bride:

Thanks for this thread!! We leave on the 5th..
We made our young dd's a sticker count down chart... but dh & I are counting down the days left of work, lol!

Getting so excited, but stressing about how to pack, clothing wise, and praying that our car rental starts to drop some! :)

Have a great time everyone!!

No problemo. We leave on the 5th as well. as far as everyone else goes, you all are welcome for this post. Hey we are all around the same time and going to WDW with Christmas/Holliday decorations + free cookies and hot chocolate if your going to MVMCP it truly is good times.

So how long is everyone going for?

We are leaving Nov. 29 (driving down, straight thru :scared1:), arriving at WDW Dec. 30. Staying until Dec. 6 :goodvibes. Can't wait but I'm not ready!!!

We are flying down on 12/05, staying 8 nights at a Condo in Windsor Hills, and then staying our last night, CL at AKL. (Our first time at a deluxe, and even though we can barely afford one night, I am so excited!) We have 2 dd's, 1 & 3, and they are going to love the animals!!! We have devoted our last 2 days to just exploring and enjoying the resort and all it has to offer.
We will be flying home late on 12/14 and we are renting a car from Alamo.

This is our first holiday trip, so I can't wait to see all the decorations.

We are going to our first MVMCP on 12/09. It will be a late night for the girls, but hey... if they conk out in their stroller, and mommy & daddy get to spend some time sightseeing while they are quiet, that's fine with us :)

I am still stressing over the packing... really trying to limit the amount of stuff we bring, wanting to stick with 2 big suitcases for all 4 of us. The airport is hard enough with a double stroller, 2 carseats, 2 kids... then all our luggage :)

Should I bring the winter coats???

I have been visiting the Disigns board, and we have made several family tshirts, that people have been nice enough to design for us.

We're getting pretty excited! Can't wait to hear everyone elses plans.

We'll be there Dec 4 which is our anniversary. It's been a really bad year so I'm amazed the trip is almost here. Between hospital stays, DH emergency surgery and DH losing his job it will be nice to relax for a little while.

We leave the day after Thanksgiving as well. It's hard crushing a few big things up against each other--makes it hard to see the forest for the trees. But I can't wait!

Flying down Dec 5 :cool1: Can't wait to go. MVMCP on 12/9. CP on 12/12 and unfortunately leaving on 12/14. :sad1:

But, on 12/16 - make ressies for 7/16 - 7/24, 2009!! :woohoo:
