For those familiar with the VGC Villas

Is there a shortcut from the villas to get to WWS and that end of the building, or is the only way to go from your villa, to the elevator, and out thru the area where Pinnochio's, etc. is located, thru the lobby, etc.

That isn't that bad of a walk, but if you do it more than a couple of times a day, a shortcut would be nice. I can't help but think there might be an exit somewhere at the end of the DVC building.

The view from our villa in May looked out over Paradise Pier. Down below us was the BBQ grills and a side walk. Does that sidewalk lead to the pool and WWS area?

Wondering how you would get to the BBQ grills from where we were, must be some stairs down there somewhere. I am sorry we didn't explore the resort any more than we did.

I don't think you can get from the grills to the pool. At least I wasn't able to when we were there in May. There is a gate that you have to go through, and it wouldn't open for me. If you can get through the gate, then you could get to the pool area.

To get to the grills, when you exit the elevators, you would take a right out of them then another right down the hallway. You follow the hallway to the door for the grill area. Not sure about any stairs but there would have to be somewhere.

The sidewalk does lead around to the pools but I believe it's an emergency exit. It's just as short to go to the elevators and thru the pool as to walk all the way around that path.

To get to the BBQ grills and the path you would take the elevator to the first floor and then go right, right, left. There are certainly stairs for emergency exits but nothing that would save you time over the elevators to get to the grills. Also, the villa's wing isn't that long so I think stairs would not gain you much if anything from any point in the Villa's.
