For those close to their 180...

Celina, thanks so much for the link. I read the info but am now more confused...:guilty:. So when you go online and book Brown Derby, Mama Melrose or Hollywood and Vine how does the system know you want to book the package for Fantasmic as opposed to just booking a dinner?
Also, which one of these restaurants is the Minnie"s Holiday Dine at?? Is Minnie's Holiday Dine a restaurant that is participating in the Fantasmic package?
Ugghhh, the more info I have the more confused I get :headache:

Thank you all again,
Karen

I can't answer all of those questions, but Minnie's Holiday Dining is at Hollywood and Vine restaurant.

I found this! Very helpful!

Hello, im visiting in December and looking to book Minnies Hollywood and Dine with the fantasmic! Package, we have regular dining plan so would that be just 1 table service credit per person? Thank you!”

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lauren!

I am so happy to help your family plan your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation! TheFantasmic! Dining Package will allow you to enjoy an amazing meal and VIP seating at one of my favorite nighttime shows at Walt Disney World Resort. Fantasmic! is an exciting journey with Mickey and friends to conquer some classic Disney villains. Since it is such a popular show, the package's preferred seating will allow you to enjoy a great view of the show. And if you are planning one joying Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine, you can have dinner with Minnie and friends in their beautiful holiday outfits before the show! One of the perks of being on a Disney dining plan is that you will be able to enjoy the Fantasmic! Dining Package for the same number of credits as a regular meal at the restaurant of your choice. So for Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine, the package will be one table service credit per person and will include both dinner and preferred seating to Fantasmic!. My family has reservation for the package with this same meal in a few weeks and we are really excited about it!

Please let us know if you have any other questions! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!

Not near my 180, but here is my list:
CRT lunch
Akerhaus lunch
Chef Mickey dinner
Ohana dinner
Tusker House dinner
Hollywood and Vine lunch

Our 180 day is almost here! This is our first trip to Disney, so we are going off recommendations.

Tusker House (B)
Be Our Guest (L)
Akershus (B)
Via Nappoli (D)
Kona Cafe (B)
Ohana (D)
1900 Park Fare (D)
Cape May Cafe (B)

For those in the know, can you clarify that being on line at the 180 day mark at 6AM is EST? Being on the west coast it might be just as easy to stay up late that day .

I don't have anything crazy this year. Breakfasts: Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, Askershus, Tusker House. Lunches: Spice Road Table, Biergarten. Dinners: 1900 Park Fare, Hollywood and Vine x2 (Halloween and Christmas characters), Boma, Ohana, Teppan Edo. Will probably start with breakfasts and try to get prepark where I can.

Yes, 6am Eastern.

At my 180, my priorities were pre-park reservations for BOG and Akershus.

You have some really good ones selected! Good luck!!

We aren't too concern about our list either. Crystal Palace for 8:00am and Boma first thing (7am?) and California Grill 5:00 pm. Because we are in Atlantic Canada we tend to eat an hour earlier than a lot of people. It works for us

Probably an early seating of Ohana on or close to our arrival day. I am rating my likelihood of getting that at about 15% based on looking at bookings 180 days out so far. Granted, it isn't during FD so I might have a shot at it.
Everything else should be relatively easy to get, or I won't be upset if I don't get it.

Just passed my 180 a week or so ago and got everything we were trying for.

The one I was most worried about was CRT on the day we wanted (180+1). But it thankfully turned out fine and I didn't have to completely rearrange all of our plans. Everything else we wanted we got as well, but I wasn't as worried because any of them wouldn't have caused such a difficult replanning of everything.

Now...onto working out potential Fastpass itineraries :D

I booked Mama Melrose Fantasmic package and actually did it wrong the first time, realized it quickly, cancelled the reservation, and booked the right one. If you are doing it online, DO NOT go the the Mama Melrose page (or whatever specific restaurant page) and book it.
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/mama-melrose-ristorante-italiano/

That is just to book a normal Mama Melrose table reservation.

To book the Fantasmic package, go to the Fantasmic Dining Package page
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/fantasmic-dining-package/

there is a restaurant dropdown box to choose Brown Derby, Mama Melrose, or Hollywood and Vine. Then you will get times and reservations for the actual Fantasmic package at those restuarants.

Deciding on FPs is so much harder than ADRs, IMO!

hah. yeah without being a regular and having a better feel for times and distances between attractions, how long a ride or a meal is gonna last, and at what precise time my kids will go into meltdown mode, I can already see it is going to be a challenge to do anything but very limited planning for ride-related things....

I'm hoping the fact that we are there before Free Dining starts means that we might have a better chance of getting some harder ADRs. *crossing fingers*

Thank you for this info! We are going to try and book the Fantasmic for H&V, so this was helpful!

What is your "must have" reservation that you are hoping for?

Cinderella's Royal Table? Be Our Guest? O'hana?

I thought this would be a fun way to pass the time. :)

So, what is the first reservation you'll attempt to snag at 6 am on your 180 day?

Not really close, still 45 days away, but a Tiffin's dinner package for the full ROL show that we hope will be announced before then.

I've never done Mama Melrose. It's on the "maybe" list. Have you been there before? What do you like?
Mama melrose is one of our favorites. Their steak and shallots is awesome along with the spaghetti and meatball cupcake is phenomenal!! You will get an app, entree, and dessert with the fantastic dinner package, definitely worth your time at this restaurant!!
