I thought I would be OK in May, I was due 2 days after we got home. Wouldn't you know I got it in the middle of the trip at 23 days. Walking around in 90+ weather, it was really bad. I can't plan anything lately, it's been kind of erratic, I was at the gyn this week and she said it's the early signs of menopause (I'm 43).

I have a friend who sometimes plays with her BC pills so she doesn't get it on vacation. She stops taking them a few days early so that her period comes early. Then she starts a new pack.

I'm also one of those who always has an unwanted "friend on her vacation. Last month I had it for 2 1/2 weeks. The whole time I was gone. Went to the Dr when I came home. I always became very ill on BC, but we are going to try the patch this time. He thinks my period is hormonal and me getting sick from bc is from the pill, not from the hormones in the pill. We'll see. I should get my period right when I get my new class of students. AT least they'll see the right side of me that first week.

Depro Provera is definatly the way to go!! I have had severe reactions to other forms of BC and DP every 3 months works for me.NO PERIOD!! YAY!! The only thing is that if you want to get pregnant you need to be off it for 3 months before you can try then it took us about a year for our second DS.

I'm just thinking that it has never happened to me ~ Even when I wasn't on the pill!!!!
