It's a kid thing, I guess.
I've had a few encounters like yours, where kids want whatever "cool" thing
you have.....for nothing. They must believe that they are entitled to
demand items from other players!
I would feel badly if there are other kids who are intimidated by those tactics.
Me? I just hit the "ignore" button.
And for the dressing alike thing, I've done that for fun, but only for a few
moments. I came up with a challenge game, "Match My Outfit" with another
player who thought it would be fun to see if we had the same clothing in
our inventories.

(Yes, it doesn't take much to make me smile in this
game.)
Those who constantly say "hi" don't bother me much. I figure they're
enthusiastic kids. I don't mind them following me to a room. In fact,
if one of my kid friends didn't follow me to a pirates game yesterday,
I wouldn't have completed my last game of level three!
But in GBShorts's case, it's definitely a bad situation for her.
