We are going to drive from Ohio to Florida for our May vacation. I'd like to pack some kind of activity pack for the girls. I was planning on getting some items from the Dollar store and printing up some printables and such. I'm not sure what to put these items in. Last year, we had activity boxes that held alot of stuff, but were very bulky. What do you use? :confused3

You're far braver than I am!

How about giving each of the girls her own backpack with a clipboard? You could include a folder for each with her choice of coloring pages, maybe include a few new ones for each day of the drive. (And saving the best ones for the ride home.)

Try putting the printables in a 3-ring binder. We did this on our last road trip, with a section of printables, a section of blank notebook paper, and a section of blank drawing paper. We put in a pencil pouch (3-ring, with a zipper) with pencil, crayons, a little sharpener, some stickers, etc.

Another thing the kids loved was to buy postcards EVERYwhere we stopped. I had stamps with me, and they would jot off cards to people while we drove and we'd mail them at the next stop.

If they're old enough, and if they sit near enough to each other in the car, you could include pre-made sheets of tic-tac-toe, the dot game, hangman, etc.
