We just got back from staying over the weekend in our tent and we were cold....very cold. I am from Florida, so it may not be as bad to those of you from colder states. I would just suggest bringing lots of blankets, because at night it was very very cold...so cold I think I got sick from it :) Just a heads up

I live 25 miles west of FtW. Our low was 63. It was beautiful!!! The OP must be a northern transplant whose blood thinned out too much!! :lmao::rotfl2::lmao: It's supposed to get down to the upper 50's to low 60's tonight. Man!! I'm lovin' it!!

Don't bank on these temps sticking around too long. By the end of the week we should be back to normal. 70's at night and mid 80's to low 90's during the day. :guilty:

luckycharm....i believe i saw you were heading to the fort in Nov 2011. Are you near Philly? We will be there during and the week after thanksgiving. It will be our first trip. Any help will be great.....the shoe's enola pa

Yes I am leaving November 1st and heading south.
We have a few drag races and then we check-in to the Fort on November 21.
I am very close to Philadelphia. About 30 miles west.
What kind of info are you looking for?
Also, where is Enola?

We've never been to the fort. We requested loop 300, hopefully we made the right decision. I finally talk my wife into taking the long journey. We will arrive nov 22 and leave dec 3. Any cc you would stay over night in southern ga? Have you make the pull in the past? About how long to the fort? Most important go PHILLIES!!!!!

YAY Phillies. YAY Red October!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As far as requesting loops. You are at their mercy. But seriously, no mater what site you are in, YOUR AT THE FORT! Relax. Enjoy.
We have made the journey before. We go every November.
We actually leave here and go to Valdosta, GA. We have a 4 day drag race there.
Then we go to a race in Bradenton, then West Palm, then back up to the Fort.
We will check in on November 21st.
We have a 42 Ft. MH. We are booked into a Premium site.
Please come find us. We will have our 'Ears' out.
It is about 13 hours from our driveway to the FLA state line. Another 3-4 to WDW, I think.
I don't know where Enola, PA is.

Enola is out side of Harrisburg. I was wrong we will be in a premium site also. We're traveling in a 35ft fifth wheel. I will have to put some green ears out! If no ears look for the pa plate!!

Aw c'mon, it was 38 here last night and we are still sleeping with the windows open. Love to snuggle up in the blankets this time of year.

Would just LOVE to still have it in the 70s at night. Was rainy and raw here in South Jersey, just like Pa, but looking forward to our trip down in exactly one month!!:cool1: Hope it is a nice warm November for all!

OK, I looked you up on the map. Now I know where you are.
We went up thru there going to Canada to race a few years ago.
I would assume that you are taking 81 south?
I will look for you. Hopefully, we will have our Phillies flags flying also!

You beat me :thumbsup2... I'm 40 miles NE...not a northern transplant though. I've always lived in the heat, which is why I get cold too easily. Doesn't every Floridan freeze when it gets below 80?? I can't be the only one...jk

Those of your from the north will probably be okay, but I was just giving a heads up b/c at night time our tent was cold. A few weeks ago, we were blasting our ac. Now, we didn't have enough blankets and I don't want others to make the same mistake. During the day, though, the weather is AMAZING right now.

What's with all this Phillies stuff? Go Braves!! Enjoy the south. It'll be warmer here than there.

In April of 09, we had a week at the campgrounds. The night we checked in, we got the final cold front of the season come through. It hit in the 40's the first night, and froze my little butt off. By the end of the week it was mid 60's and beautiful for staying at the Fort. It was the first time I ever wanted to go back home for the night, and of course by the end, I didn't want to be leaving.

Native Floridian = Native thin blood. I freeze below 60.... and I some how managed to survive in below 60 degrees one winter.

I'm with you...Gooooo Braves!!!!

My mom and dad have lived in Florida since they were both very young, and if it gets below 65 my dad is complaining that he needs to move to the tropics. :lmao: I guess Florida is just not far enough South for his blood, so I deinfatley understand your pain on this one. My husband and I lived in Boston for a couple of years and mom and dad would only come and visit in late July. :rotfl: Oh well.

Hope you enjoyed your trip to the Fort, we'll be there soon!!!
