I'm trying to figure out how to fill in sections on a image (coloring book) that has been scanned or is an outline of a character. I've tried using the magic lasso tool but when I click on the color pallet to fill in the chosen section, I only get black/white/gray images to choose from.

Do I have to use a brush tool and actually paint each section myself? It is so hard to paint within the lines using a mouse :faint:

there is a bucket fill tool - on mine - it is two buttons below the paintbrush - it will fill in everthing within a set of black lines

Thanks! I assume that you use the color pallet below the tools to select a color? Mine only shows black/gray/white color options :confused3

to change the colors - click one of those boxes (black, white) and it should pop up a screen with a color palette (at least in photoshop).

I've tried that but it doesn't work for some images (others it works just fine.) Oh well, I'll just have to color a few of those in. I did figure out that if you enlagethe ratio of viewing it is much easier to color sections in :)
