Can't people hang up their cell phones before using the toilet?

Ugh, I was at work today and thought the woman a few stalls down was talking to herself. Carried on a conversation throughout the entire process, and was still chatting as she was exiting the room. :crazy2:

I should have made some seriously obnoxious noises. That would teach her!

I think it is totally disrespectful to take your cell in the bathroom with you. I know a couple of people at work who do that and I really wish they wouldn't.

but what does that have to do with pete? ohh.. her name was pete. ok. But its true that people are so obsessed with cell phones they will be rude to those around them just to talk to one person that they can talk to any other time

I know of one woman at work who does this all the time. One day as she was leaving her stall, she made a comment "OOO it smells in here" I yelled, "It's a toilet, what do you expect."

No, "pete" was the sound coming from her stall. :teeth:

Ahh, I hate when people do that! I was at work the other day and I heard some customer in one of the stalls talking on the phone. I'm sorry, but if I was her friend on the phone, I wouldn't want to listen to her pee! It seems like people use their phones everywhere nowadays.

There was a lady in my building one day who did this (she didn't work for us, so she was either our client or from one of the other companies in the building). She was talking LOUDLY on her cell as we both went into the ladies room. I thought she'd hang up, but she didn't. So while she was in the stall next to me.....I flushed. A few times in a row. :rolleyes1

I heard her say "oh, yeah, sorry, I had to run to the ladies, I guess these automatic toilets have minds of their own!" :rotfl2:

I would have yelled, as loud as I could, "Uh-oh, I'm out of paper in here. Can you spare a square?"

I walked in on somebody last week who was standing by the sink on her phone she looked up at me and said I'm on the phone, and my response was I've gotta pee. The girl bbehind me said to her and your point is.....

My response should have been Oh I'm sorry I mistook the phone booth for a bathroom. Man those signs are confusing.

I hate when people do that and I always seem to flush more than once just out of spite.

I get a little devious pleasure by flushing the toilet, whether I need to or not! Puh lease!

Kimya, I'm so with you on what you did!!!!

Totally off topic, but Greenpants -- your sig and "I like to eat tape" crack me up! :rotfl2:

:scared: Can you imagine the germ factor?!? It's so gross thinking about people using bathrooms and cell phones at the same time.

I admit it....I have used my cell phone in the bathroom at work.

But let me explain....I work in a radio room for a local police department....all the phones in the radio room are recorded and there is no cell reception there.

I very rarely get a break and don't get to leave the building....so...I kinda have to combine bathroom priveledges and calling home sometimes!

Of course...it is just one stall...so no one has to hear me!

It happened again!!

Two days ago, ANOTHER woman was in the restroom gabbing on her cell. I let the toilet flush anyway.

Is this becoming an epidemic? Ew! :crazy2:

I work at a college and the college students use the cell in the bathroom all the time. It makes me crazy--I'll be sitting there and all of a sudden I hear, "Hi, how are you?" and I'm thinking, Who the HECK is THAT?...then they continue their conversation while sitting in the stall. I'd be really annoyed if anyone called me from the freaking bathroom. :earseek:

OK, some of these stall-talkers need to lose their phones in the toilet. I'm sorry, but that's just not right. A friend of mine did this once. She answered the phone when she was in the stall. I think she was "done", but she was still in there. I reamed her for it too. :rotfl:
