So free dining is available ~ and Disney Visa holders which my mom is can book now! We're looking at early Oct. if we go over UEA my kids wouldn't miss any more school than they would if we go to DLR later in Oct. My mom's B~day is 10/7 so we'd plan to make that our last day in the parks. Tentative dates ~ 9/30 or 10/1-10/8 (fly home)!!! I'm comfortable with DLR ~ WDW seems daunting, but if we go for it I've got time to figure things out.

Go for it! Right now WDW is almost more affordable than DL. Don't get me wrong I LOVE DL!, but I'm also in Utah and it's not nearly as easy to get to Florida once a year. (or more) It seems like a great time especially if you've never been. My friend just booked her Free Dining package today and it was only about $400 more for 9 days as the quote I'm getting for DLH for 5 days. With the help of the Disboards you will have NO trouble getting a great WDW trip put together.

The other upside is most of the state of Utah heads to Disneyland for UEA.(not Florida) This year the California schools are out for Fall Break at the same time AND it's Gay Days. :crowded:

Airfare from SLC to MCO (Orlando) changes constantly. So I suggest using Travelocity Fare Watcher and when you see a great rate JUMP!

DO IT. Get the DLX dining plan. Eat, drink and be merry.... Go to the Rose and Crown in EPCOT and get your "Brittish" on.

Hi Shannon! We usually fly to Florida once a year for a Disney cruise and airfare has steadily gotten more and more expensive. The last few years its been about $350 to $400. Right now you can get a nonstop on Delta for about $233 last time I looked. Holy Cow! That's only about $50 bucks than flying to DL! It just makes me bummed that we don't have a cruise booked this year! My husband says if we're flying to Florida we are cruisin' not doing WDW! I'd love to check it out some day! Anyway, check into it and let us know what you decide!

We did WDW for UEA last year and it was soooooooo much fun.You should go.My advice is to use the disboards as well as Tourguidemike.com.If you go through the disboards, you can get a discount because tourguidemike is a sponser. It had the best info and WELL worth the money especially if you know DL better than WDW.

I am also in Northern Utah, probably in the same valley.I sure wish it would stop snowing and get green again.

Good luck trying to decide.

It's official ~ we'll be at Pop Century early Oct. ~ I have 9/30-10/8 but I might switch to 10/1-10/11, if it's not too much more. We'd have 2 extra days and we wouldn't miss any extra school or work days!
