With the renewed interest on the Muppets given the rumors around HS I thought I’d remind Muppet lovers that there is an amazing Jim Henson exhibition in NYC at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens:

I cried when I first went, it’s so cool. So
if you have any plans to visit definitely make time for this, it’s a short walk from the subway and afterwards you can enjoy the amazing food scene in Astoria/Long Island City :)

Thanks for sharing. I'm sure it's a great exhibit. If Disney pulls MV3D I hope they make it possible it can be presented elsewhere in its full glory. I've seen recommendations it be set up at a puppeteering museum in Atlanta I believe. Whether Disney does or doesn't close the show I would like to see them put in a Pigs in Space show in Tomorrowland, maybe in the Stitch space, maybe tit for tat in MILF if they simply must close yet another thing in order to put in something new.

Read a biography of Jim Henson several years ago. He was a very interesting guy, personally and professionally.

If you are in Atlanta our Center for Puppetry Arts has a wonderful partnership with the Hensons. Permanent and rotating exhibits, speakers (I saw Dave Goelz aka Gonzo, sat right in front of Disney Execs). Very much worth the visit.

We went to that museum 10 years ago, we will be back in September, and are thinking of going back for that exhibit.
