So sad that this winter has been so cold that 35 is considered warm. It got up to around 50 here today. The weekend is supposed to be high 60's! :cool1:

Are you making fun of us Chele? :rotfl2: Did you get lots of rain today? Sam Champion said it was rainy in your area. I know how badly you need it!

SO... this morning my throat was worse so I went to the doc. He said looks like strep. The culture came back negative though... which can happen even if you have it. I'll know Monday for sure when the 3 day test comes back. In the meantime, I have a prescription for an antibiotic if I get worse. So glad it's not the flu! Wish my throat didn't hurt so bad though. I can't eat anything. And you just don't realize how many times a day you swallow, even when you aren't eating... that is until it's excruciating to swallow! :sad1:

So glad Tomato is on his way home!

it is raining hecka much today.. ir was when I was near a window that i could see out of.. Jason and I are staying in today even tho i want to get out sooo badly!

'It's a Small World' ride gets face-lift
From wire service reports
Posted: 02/06/2009 09:16:02 AM PST

The classic "It's a Small World" ride at Disneyland will re-open today as a familiar realm with newly expanded horizons.

The focus remains a celebration of cross-border friendship by the children of the world, but 29 new characters are featured in the ride.

Dolls dressed in native colorful costumes will mark the transition from one country to the other, but guests will also be able to find some of the child dolls dressed as their favorite Disney characters, in the countries where their stories take place.

For example, dolls dressed in Aladdin and Jasmine costumes are in the Middle East scene and a doll dressed as Alice from "Alice in Wonderland" appears in a scene depicting Britain.

Some of the dolls have toys to play with. A Mushu dragon kite can be spotted in China, "The Three Caballeros" marionettes in Latin America and Pixar characters Woody and Jessie can be seen in "Spirit of America."

The Fantasyland attraction, which navigates the world with a message of harmony and friendship, has been under refurbishment for about a year.

The original song, written by Academy Award-winning composers Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman, is still played throughout the attraction, but some "subtle" film music has been woven into the song, according to Disneyland.

The attraction made its debut as an exhibit at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair. After two seasons at the fair, it moved to Disneyland, where it was expanded and then dedicated by Walt Disney himself on May 28, 1966.

Poor Love. Maybe I was a little bit mocking because 35 is not what I would call as warm. Neither is the 50's by any stretch of the imagination. I hope you feel better soon. Drink lots of hot tea and get lots of rest. :flower3:

Thanks! We got here around noon and we're having fun!

Hi Sharky:goodvibes

It's the same way here with the weather. It's actaully warm today around 35 and tomorrow it's to be 50!!! That means a lot of the snow will melt :cool1:

Happy Friday!
Hey girl

Glad you are having fun

50 sounds heavenly right about now

thanks yeah Mary told me that she heard they were putting the princesses and other characters in their country of origin so i looked it up and how i pictured it by her description was actually the characters.. but in costume and in toys and stuff like that i think its kinda cute.. ill have to see for myself to determine if I really like it...

I think that if they gift wrapped Small World and gave it as a gift people would still complain. You know what I mean.

Okay so I heard on the news that there was an accident in the BART tunnel under the bay. They had to walk the people out of the tunnel. I think I would probably had a heart attack. I was so afraid to ride BART into San Francisco before I did it because of something like that. To think I was gonna ask my kids if they wanted to ride BART into the city this weekend and walk around. Now I think it will wait.

A lot of people grumble about IASW but I happen to like it. A trip to Disney wouldn't be complete without it to me. It sounds to me like it isn't going to be drastically different so I'm cool with that. And if Woody's in there that I am all for it! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Thanks Chele! I'm sure trying. I should sleep much better tonight with Tom home. I can't sleep soundly with him gone.

Totally know what you mean! Some people just like to complain about everything! :sad2:

So enlighten me... what is BART? I'm thinking it must be a train of some kind cuz people wouldn't be leaving their cars in there! :confused3

that sucks.. I heard about an accident like yesterday.. where the trains were on teh same track or whatever?? because the one train was on manual instead of auto pilot or something... weird.. they said that kind of thing is never supposed to happen... i wanna go to SF.. but now its gunna be hard with Jason.. gunna have to wait till hes older..

Scotty has the same problem with sleeping.

And yes there are those people that are never happy. There are days that I feel like that myself.

BART is Bay Area Rapid Transit. It is like a high speed train. A commuter train.

Yeah, accidents two days in a row. The one in the tunnel scares me the most. Why can't Jason go to the city? Did it become illegal to take babies to the city?

That's my thought, but there is this Sony store that I have been wanting to visit. But because we are going out of town next weekend it's best to wait anyway.

yes it did... :rotfl2: id rather he be older and a little easier to feed (ex. make the bottle adn he can hold it himself..) and stuff like that and id rather go when its gunna be a little warmer..
