Yep! You might want to bring some clothes!! hey you could always just wear lots of layers and that way your suitcases could just hold your gifts. That way even if your luggage gets lost. Hey maybe no presents but you would have clothes.

I'm okay. The weather is a little ugly here today. Party was just okay. The food was good, I looked and felt pretty. But, it was so loud and the drunks were awful as always. But high pint the actually got 8 hours pay as a Christmas bonus.



The brownies were good too. It's nice to see you friend. How's the family?

Michelle, we want to see pictures of you in your party dress!!! You know we love pictures. Glad you had an okay time, would be better if you said you had a great time, but hey you got out and had good food and got a chance to dress up. I love dressing up but have no occasion to any more it seems.

I was thirlled with the bonus. You're right there are always drunks. The assistant plant manager and his wife always bring their little girl. She is maybe 4 years old. She is allowed to run wild and do whatever she wants while Mom and Dad party. I spend my evening watching her to make sure she is okay. Under no circumstances would I ever have taken our children to an adult party. I guess what bothers me the most is the fact that even though he may know these people from work he doesn't "really" know them. Anything could happen and the fact that it is held at a Hilton Hotel any stranger could happen in and they may never even notice. Sorry I will step away from my soapbox now.

While it shouldn't be your problem and you shouldn't have to do that as opposed to having fun, it's really nice of you to do that, watch that little girl. People like that are so ignorant, they just know someone there will watch after their little girl so they go ahead and party and don't pay any attention. Actually I think that there should be a definite rule absolutely no children, this is an adult cocktail party and no children will be allowed in!

Like you, however, I too would be watching that little girl as you know how the world is today and anything could have happened to her. You are such a sweet caring person, thank God that little girl had you to watch out for her.

Braeton went to spend the afternoon with my Mom and niece. DH is studying for Finals (Of course to my untrained eye it looks like he's snoozing in the Recliner, but if he gets woke up he's AHEM!! Studying QUIT being so loud!!!! ) Tyler is watching them clear the lot across the street. They are getting ready to build the next house. I'm so excited. It's a single Mom with a 12 year old son. she's 30 and she works so hard to take care of her son while driving back andforth 2 hours to her parents who are divorced and both in VERY bad health to help care for them. She deserves this house!!

Sounds like everyone was occupied and I'm sure DH was studying..........yea the inside of his eyelids, yea that's it, he was studying his eyelids

That's awesome that a single mom who works so hard to make it is getting a house. I'm so happy to hear that. That makes me feel good to know that! Awesome!

Good Morning!

I know it's hard to make it a good morning when it's Monday

The party was really nice! DH and I enjoyed ourselves just getting out without worrying about sippy cups and snacks! We went to my FIL's after and played the Wii until midnight I am so happy I got that for his gift...it was so much fun! StinkerBelle did great! So great that she keeps saying, "Mama, I go to Grammy's again, where are you going to go?" I'm really glad she had fun and did not miss us...makes me feel good

Chele - Glad you had a nice time but geesh, what is wrong with people? I can't imagine doing that with DD. I wouldn't go if I had no one to watch her. Congrats on the bonus

Sharky and QM - I need to get over to read your update! I can't wait Hope you both are doing well

Much Much Better Thank God!!! It's been a whopper of a year for us!! But I think we are now on our way up to a much much better year health wise at least!!! At least that's what i'm praying for!!

Last time I flew up there by US Air not only did they lose my luggage with my clothes, they lost gifts. After 8 days there and a trip home still no luggage so I had (while I was still up in NJ) to buy clothes, shoes, underwear and gifts and new luggage to get my clothes home, I finally made out my claim and itemized what was in the lugggage, what the value was, the value of the actual piece of luggage etc., sent it in and suddenly they were able to find it. My name and address and cell phone number was on it in several places outside the luggage and inside the luggage was an 8 X 11 piece of paper with my personal information, flight number and destination. But did anyone look, NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I was so mad. So you can see why I am worried about getting my gifts and things when I arrive in NJ!

We're doing good, both of us and the families of course.

I can't wait to some day get a Wii, I've been dying for one but DH is always the last to buy anything, by the time we get something, the newest items and newere technology is out, lol. Plus he didn' want to buy all the extras that you seem to need. One day though, I AM going to get one!

Next year I want to add some reindeer and more snowmen...

Snowman in the "forest"

Santa Mickey, Tree and presents. The tree changes color from white to blue and the presents alternate lighting up...the big ones for when the tree is white and the little ones when it is blue (DH's little touch)

The candy canes, large tree and PEACE sign. DH and I laugh since we have so much other lights on, it's really not a "peace" scene...oh well
