You should see the dress I got for Scotty's company party. Um yes I am gonna be a sexy mama!

Hey friend I have missed you.

Don't forget to have pictures taken, you kow we will all be after you to post some, lol.

Ok, heading out for a quick snack -- Honeycrisp Apples! My new craving food with this baby.

If anyone wants to add their input to my mom dilemma (including telling me I'm being a brat), please do. I guess I'm not thinking straight on this one and being a bit emotional ... maybe it's the hormones.

Oh, and I didn't mention we live 3 hours away by car from each other. So easily travelled in one day.

You are not being a whiney baby. I totally understand as I commented earlier.

As far as the 1st baby jealous of the 2nd baby, when Kelly was born her DB helped me. I involved in and he felt like a big boy helping Mommy take care of the baby. He potty trained quickly and and he never backslided once she was here. In fact, he used to love to help me change her and he'd sit on the sofa and I'd put her in his lap and he'd feed her. He just loved having a baby to make him feel like a big boy!

Honeycrisp......mmmm gooood.....and expensive here in Mi, more expensive than steak???

Marshay, your dad is being selfish and a big baby. Your mom should want to be with you and kids incl. newborn for at least a week. Tell mom to woman up......make some meals in advance for dad....or tell him to eat out....tell him to come for 3 days then go home, tell him mom will be home 4 days later !!!!

It might happen to me, I dont know.......DW is away right now for the weekend with girls, shopping & casino.....Yep, I miss her...she is my best friend, my girlfriend and my wife.......But I will survive.....she is having fun, I go on my mancave with the guy weekends too......but we always look forward to seeing eachother........then after a week we go back to wanting to choke eachother out !!!!!! LOL, Hey, I was getting too mushie!!!!:lmao: :lmao:

I dont think you are being a brat, lots of emotions going on right now.....understandable !!!

Now that I've gotten further reading and catching up I see we think very much alike. I said about the same thing!

I have to admit though my DH gets a little funny when I go to NJ to see Sharky and Huey and my DS and the rest of my family. In fact he gets kind of mean as he thinks I'm going to go away and not come back. I mean I've come back every time so far? But if he keeps being mean I wouldn't want to come back so he needs to stop that and grow up.

You have it all ogether UJ, your DW is a very lucky lady and I am sure you are a very lucky man to have her as well!

Stop Stop Stop, no such thing as a great chick flick......its just an emotional movie with poor acting !!!!! Steven Segal, now that's an actor !!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I AM JUST KIDDING !!!!

I love Steven Segal movies, Mmm Mmmm Mmmm! But I do love my chick flicks, Steel Magnolias, Beaches, all those great ones!

Thanks for the other perspective. I've always looked up to my dad and maybe there is a part of me that doesn't want to acknowledge that he is getting older and may need or thinks he needs more help.

Yum!

Yeah, the apples are $2.49/lb here in Virginia ... but I am indulging myself....figure it's cheaper and healthier than eating B&J ice cream.

I agree with your assessment of my dad -- big baby!! But I guess there is more to it than what I know. At this point, I'll just let mom decide whatever she is comfortable with and be grateful (and try not to begrudge them).

Good on the birth of the sibling! I just registered DD for a hospital class called "Sibling Tiny Tots". It's for siblings ages 2-5 years old and includes a tour of the hospital for parents and child, instruction on how to hold baby, what a newborn looks and sounds like, etc and some other surprises for DD.

This is good to know! I'm really hoping we don't get a court-loving attorney.

Do you have personal experience with this? Just wondering since it sounds like you've done this before...

I'm not sure exactly what the problem is with th furniture thing but when I first got married the first time we bought our furniture at a store called Bambergers, it was a division of Macy. It turned out to be junk and I had put it on a credit card because I won't pay for any big purchases until I've seen it and used it and know it's good. I made a payment or two and then it started falling apart. I wanted my money back and for them to come get the furniture. They wouldn't do it. So I started with the phone calls and kept calling and calling until I worked my way up to the chairman of the board for Macy in NY. I told him my story and that I had not paid more than two payments for it and would not pay any more and if they did not come get it, I was putting it out on the curb as I went and bought good, well made furniture and it was being delivered that next week. I said I won't make another payment and I do not own it and I am not paying iinterest on it, nothing. The Chairman was very nice, he said he understood and they'd had troubles with the New Jersey Bamberger's store before so he would have someone come pick it up the next day if he had to come down to NJ and rent a pick up and do it himself. He said he'd credit my card for the entire amount of the furniture, which refunded the two payments I'd made. It was a nightmare until I reached the Chairman of the Board.

Me too, except for Eastwood.....classic legend!!!! Those other 2 are a joke.

I actually prefer comedy films......and they havent made any good ones in years.....

Do you like the Mel Brooks movies, those are my favorite comedies!

So what are you all asking Santa for Christmas this year??

My list is:
- Magic Bullet (no, it's not that kind!!). It's a mini food processor so I can make baby food from whatever we are eating
- Baby Wrap
- some scrapbook supplies like glue and stickers
- cookie sheets and cookie cutters
- slippers

Nothing too extraordinary.

I didn't get a chance to ask for anything. I was told I am getting my ticket to NJ to see the kids and my family and that's it, not to look for anything else.

That's okay though as that is all I really need.

Now I would love one of those portable USB Hard drives, a blue tooth for my phone, a cheap GPS and maybe something Disney but that's all. I can live without it all though as long as I can get to NJ, I'm leaving Dec. 26 and coming back 1/3. Not sure what we'll do christmas day though, maybe go to Disney.

Umm as the oldest one here.... I umm okay you're old.

:rotfl2:

You may have been the oldest one on the thread that night but I am the oldest member of our thread, way too old in fact!!! Wait until ya'll hit my age, well by then I'll be dead, :lmao:

Wow and I thought mine was the most boring!:goodvibes :rotfl2:

She never asks for much and rarely for personal stuff, always stuff for the house or family. The slippers are good though, nice and personal at least. Nice pink slippers I presume. Fluffy and warm. I sent her and her DH a gift so far, had it shipped directly to them and told her not to open the box, just wrap it so she can open when I get there. I have a few gifts here that I may have to ship, need to check into that as it's getting late for shipping. It may not be possible to take all the gifts in my luggage as I probably will need clothes while I am there, LOL.

I can not htink of anything else

I need new jeans. My dad is getting me a walmart gift card, so that takes care of that.

DH did not want a list this year, he wants to make my gifts surprises this year

So we shall see what I actually get :)

That's great that you are going to get surprises this year, you usually know everything you are getting. I do too and I miss my surprises. At least you'll surprise me and so will Gary and Aunt Frannie.

I'm turning in!! Have a good one ladies......I'm taking the boys to a wing joint for lunch tomorrow (paging Mr. Tom Morrow). My son is taking his girlfriend who has to bring her fake baby for her health care class.....should be a hoot !! That baby just keeps crying all the time......

I heard him being paged yesterday. I just laughed as it made me think of a comedy where they paged someone but I can't post the name here, LOL.

6-9 inches of snow expected today....:sad2: :sad2:

Why did the settlers even settle here????

LOVE you better have some warm weather for me there!!!!!:thumbsup2

If you guys come here for Christmas tell the brood :dance3: Uncle John will take them sledding !!!!!! WOOOOO HOOOOO :yay: :yay:\

Maybe we could go to ECHO VALLEY !!! Thats a huge toboggan place for the rest of you !! Big cement troughs filled with ice.....straight down hill at approx. 30 mph, then a huge sweeping turn....they have about 8 chutes !!!! Ice skating pond and innner tube hill.......(for sissies). I have 6 days off at Christmas !!!:thumbsup2 (tell Abby if she is nice she can borrow some of my hunting clothes to wear....mmuuuu waaaaa haaaaaaa):santa: :santa:

Can I come UJ? It sounds awesome. I love snow tubing!

i pretty much figured thats about what it feels like! lol

yeah i got that stuff packed.. i dont own a nightgown tho so i packed pj pants.. and the camera with extra batteries.. and the baby book.. my dr said if the nurse is cool enough while they are doing his hand/foot prints they might do it directly in the book too

that sounds good.

Oh that would be nice if thye let you do that

Grandma asked your Mom about a nightgown and your Mom said you weren't staying for more than six hours so you wouldn't need one.

Only 6 hrs...that is not right

i hope that is not true

you should be kept at least 24 hrs just in case:goodvibes

UJ....Thanks for hearing me and sending some snow my way.

It snowing lightly and we have nice amt outside.

I went outside and made a tiny snowball and put it in a bowl in the freezer...

I did that for Trent just in case when we wake tomorrow, there is none left

IT is too late to go outside and play and I did not want him to miss out:rotfl:

You didn't tell me it snowed! Great idea to make Trent a snowball and freeze it for later. What did he think about it when he got up?Was there snow left outside or did he need his frozen snowball?
