Well, I got my Mom's Day gift.

DH: "Well, the timing is wrong but here's your Mother's Day gift." And he hands me a black box.

Me: Opens box. It's a necklace with a gold booty on it with a March birthstone. It's pretty. DH had a custom necklace made for me that says "MOM" and has a loop below it to hang charms on. I have a ruby booty for DD3. However this booty is a lot smaller.

I tell him thank you and give him a kiss and hug.

I wanted another booty for the necklace so I'm glad he did remember this.

Unfortunately, the booty is a different color and much smaller than DD3. So he is going to see if he can exchange the booty to match. If not, then we'll just keep the smaller one since Elie is the younger child.

Soooo all in all, it is a nice gift and it makes the necklace complete.

sorry, it's what we call it...a booty is a small infant slipper/shoe. So for the necklace we have a gold (not silver) booty-shaped charm. And then there is a birthstone in the "hole" where a foot would go through (if it were a real booty).

When we get the necklace back, I'll take a picture and post it here!

Yeah right!!!! Working OT to pay for Disney Trips and a cruise for spring break next year....!!!!

Hi to all!! I miss being on here. We are still having internet probs, health probs just being too busy probs!!
We switched to verizon internet but it's an aircard and it's just been a week and we've used 3/4 of the GB we have a month so trying to be carefull on that. still have our wireless which is NOT working so hopefully someone will be back out tomorrow to see if they can fix this. We are a mile from the tower so it's very aggravating.

Shannon has recovered pretty good from the last 2 surgeries he had in the past 3 weeks. Still has a spot that is not healing well but over all o.k.

Braeton is still having major sensory issues since his surgery a couple weeks aago but Braeton is Braeton and he's atough little thing. I have a video postedd of him on my FB for those that would like to see. He went to a special needs Field Day and the cid is of him in a walker race. The last time he was there was 2 years ago and he was in the w/c races. Friday was a rough day and he ended up being in his w/chair but he was determined to run in the walker race and then in the Foot race!! He was the last person to finish in the foot race of course but he did it!!!
He came home with 9 or 10 ribbons!!
Proud of that little bugger and his NEVER GIVE UP attitude!!
Tat could you please get on FB just to look at him and then you never have to get back on. Really. It's not addictive or anything.

I agree with you all about SYTYCD. I started watching part of it and turned it off. Was completely bored and that female judge ...I know this is absolutely bad to say but there is something so wrong about her face that I can't stand to look at her...

So I DVR'd J&K+8 tonight and will watch that. TLC had a marathon this weekend which was great for me since I was able to watch a lot of shows while nursing.

Did anyone catch it tonight?? It's the first show where Jon and Kate are separated. It was really, really sad. Yes, I'm such a sap that I cried, esp when they showed the pics from when the kids were preemies until 5 yo.

Well my sister and her family did not come in town. BIL got colitis and sis stayed home with him.

Then I swear Nanaitis must be going around. My parents arrived last night from their WDW trip and during the night my mom had fever, chills, etc. So we have locked her in the basement today so none of us get sick, esp the baby. She's upset that she can't be with my girls. HOpefully she'll be better tomorrow.

so we go to the mall today and DH comes out with a small bag from Kay Jewelers. I haven't gotten it yet but I assume this will be my Mother's Day gift.

So when he gives it to me should I "fake it" just to appease his ego?

My dad wanted to leave on Tuesday. My mom wanted to stay until Wednesday. That was before she got sick.

Now my dad wants to leave tomorrow. I told mom that she is welcome to stay as long as she wants, just to get better. No one wants to travel 3 hours when you are sick.

My dad is always itching to leave. I just don't understand. I wish he would just stay and play with his grand-daughters...but he is always thinking about how he could earn some more money at home (he is a substitute school teacher). I mean he is supposed to be retired but still ends up working 4-5/days a week...

what a shame...I'd think he'd want to stay and play with the girls. They are so precious at this time. And it goes by so fast
