Thanks so much for posting that! I'm totally slacking on planning this vacation and I haven't looked at that in months. So far, not much going on the week we're there. A couple of Gospel brunches (can't you just see me at that?) and Better than Ezra. I only know like one of their songs and was never into them.

Hopefully Disney will pull their heads outta their butts sometime soon and allow good music back on Disney property. I can't believe they don't allow my vulgar rock bands anymore. If I want to take my kids to see a show and I know they'll be swearing there, that's my prerogative. Not like the kids don't hear it anywhere else.

I hope he shows up, too. He likes to play drums in his underpants and I would love to ogle him. He seems like he's probably a jerk, but he's fun to look at.

Yeah, I totally agree. It's sad what they are doing with the music and other things in the parks because some parents can't control their kids from not going to those parts of the World that "might" have something that's not kid friendly. It's not fair to the adults that like WDW too but whatever.

And yes, he is very fun to oogle at.

Joshs sisters name is Stephanie.. she has been staying with us.. it started as a 2 day visit and now its been over a week and shes gunna stay till after the wedding because their fav cousin is coming back from montana and also staying with us and she wants to spend alot of time with him.. its been nice having her around..

I won't tell you how much that surprises me..... After all yoour town is such a hot spot for excitement.

Oh yes I love the Steelers as well by default. My Dad is from PA as you know. They are an excellent team for sure. Zach Thomas actually plays for the Kansas City Chiefs now.

I so wanna go to House of Blues, but I know the kids would hate it. I'm going to have to plan a trip and take my mother along to babysit for me so we can go. I'm not even interested in the food they serve, I just want to check the place out. Maybe they have desserts or something and I can take the kiddos there for that.

I love it there! We ate there a few years ago, John liked the burger and I had some other sandwich that was pretty good too!

What did I miss? Is there another Steph I don't know? It doesn't take much to confuse me.

You don't think they'd like it? They have the best burgers on WDW property that I've ever tasted! Plus there's the chance at catching a live band there. I haven't had the pleasure of trying out the desert there but that is an idea to get the kids there.

Yes, Happy Mom's Day to all. Hope you celebrate this day better than me!

We are sitting in church (topic is the Maternal part of God) and at the end where the pastor says, "Happy Mother's Day!", DH leans over to me and says, "Is today Mother's Day?"

"Yep", I said.

Then when we get in the car, he says, "uh, so you want to go out to eat somewhere?"

Ridiculous...yes, let's just head to McDonald's for Mom's day since all the nice restaurants are BOOKED!

But I held these thoughts to myself and just said, well, I didn't plan anything for today since I wasn't sure what might be going on.

DH says, well, obviously I forgot it was Mother's Day...I thought it was Wednesday (???) or next week. Sorry.

So we are home now...I'll go warm up some leftovers...

At this point, I am disappointed but have to laugh...DH just refuses to look at a calendar. I was actually thinking of reminding him last week but then thought why?

I am so sorry that DH didn't remember - showed this to my DH and he shook his head. We have been married over 30 years and he forgot my birthday the first year we were married Boy he hasn't forgotten since then.......

I'm in the self contained classroom for kids with autism. They are K-2 age. I should be done in there May 18th.... but then, I've said that before!

I am also in a self contained classroom (teacher's assistant) - special education - kindergarten - the k-2 autism room is right near us and we share a lunch table with them. I so admire you - it takes a gifted person to work with autism We are not done with school until June 18th.[/COLOR]

So, Steve and Trent just gave me my mother's Day Present.

They made a picture collage of pics of Trent and Trent and Steve from year he was born to present on a DVD and put the most awesome song on it...

It is a remix of Somewhere over the rainbow and What a wonderful World...


It was done by a Hawaiian man who passed away this past year I believe. You should be able to find it on youtube by typing those two songs together

Yeah, it's almost too easy. Regardless of where you are, the Kindle is always connected to Amazon and a purchase is just a click away. I will say it's nice if you are on a road trip and finish your book, just buy onother one then I didn't know any other's existed when I got mine. I saw it on Oprah and thought it looked cool, that was really the first I had heard of it.

You guys....I'm beside myself with excitement right now! I just found out that the Miami Dolphins (my FAVORITE Pro Football team) will be playing the Atlanta Falcons AT the GA Dome the day before my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Sept. 13th) I'm SOSOSOSOSOOOOOOOO going to that game!!!! I haven't seen my boys play live and in person since the year before Marino retired (I think that was '98 or '99. I'm SO freakin' excited!!! And last season the Dolphins had such a good season so I'm really hoping that this year is even better. I may even go and see them play on December 20th in TN if they are having a good season (that's the last regular season game). God I can't wait!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their respective Mother's Days....

I enjoyed mine with the exception of my mother (sigh). I was childless yesterday but I got to talk to my girls several times yesterday Dh and I went to see the new Star Trek Movie IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD

The only black cloud was my mother which it would take volumes to explain her to you but basically she is one of the most negative people I know. I have done everything in my power not to be like her. She doesn't understand the concept of being a mother or a grandmother - she has no real relationship with my kids - thank goodness for my MIL

In a nutshell my MIL is in declining health - I invited both for Mom's Day....my mom told me she wasn't coming over unless my MIL did. Well Saturday my MIL said she didn't feel up to it so we told her we would have a dinner party for her on her birthday - May 31st. My mom, brother and his family would all come and we could celebrate mom's day and bday. She liked that idea.

I called my mom and told her of the change of plans. She didn't say anything to me but got on the phone with MIL and blamed her for making my mom the ONLY mother on earth that will be sitting at home alone. She yelled at my MIL and then hung up on her...

Needless to say I am sooooooo angry at my mom - she is the one who said she would not come unless my MIL came and then to yell at her friend of many years.........grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Some how I will end up being blamed for all of this. My brother and I keep a decent relationship but he will excuse her that she is getting old - my mother is only 78......

Enough blabbering.....I could go on and on ........

Please understand I had a very nice day - my DH was wonderful......
