Hi chele.

What is everyone opinion on when you go to DL? Do the kids have a preference?

And I am thinking about staying onsite because the prices are so low, which is something I swore I wasn't gonna do again.:confused3 I can't resist.

Do it..Do it..Do it :wizard:

DH found a puppy last week, and we are still trying to locate it's owners.

I know they must be going crazy missing him!! He's a real cutie.

Here's a couple pics of him:

After a little research, we think he's an English Foxhound. He didn't have a collar/tags but we are very certain he belongs to someone.

Do y'all agree on the breed?

I have no idea on the breed, but he is sooooooooooooooo cute

I hope you can find his owners

Kids don't get a vote. On this we live in a Momarchy! Yes I spelled it that way on purpose!:rotfl:

I think it is because her and Kacy are so close. Kacy is finally starting to branch out and get other friends.
i have an older Sister that was a lot like that. We were very close, in the same grade from 6th grade on. i was the more social one. Now she's involved in more stuff than I've ever dreamed of!! What's funny is she's stll considered to be the "quiet" one until you get to know her.

That's funny. I am considered the quiet one and I am much busier than my sister and much more social.

Kody is probably a lot like you!!:goodvibes That's a good thing!!

She probably wouldn't like to hear it but she is my clone in so many ways.

You know that Mothers curse about how they hope you have one just like you? Well I really got it. Kacy is just like my Mom, Kody is like me and Loren is a combination of my Dad and Scotty.:scared1:

At first it was just until we knew what was going on and then we were going to decide. And then it was for the rest of the year. Now I'm considering to keep on doing it through next year. it's working out great! He gets his work done usually in 2 hours or less. A lot of times Less and he can break it up during the day on bad days. He was behind in math (Cause of the over 2 months of school he missed!) and now he's a little ahead!:thumbsup2 he is actually feeling better and having WAY more good days. I really enjoy it. We get to do some things together now just him and I and the stress of falling behind in class when he's sick is not there any longer!! If all goes well I'm really considering HS Braeton year AFTER next!;)

I think that is great LeeLee. Tyler is surely in a much more relaxed setting for learning and I'm sure he enjoys his one on one time with you. It may benefit him to be home schooled next year as well. As long as he gets some socialization with kids his own age, he'll be just fine.

If Tyler benefits from being home with you alone and having that alone time. I really don't want to homeschool Kody I think she needs the interaction with kids her own age. She won't talk on the phone with her friends or any of that and I worry about her not having outside companionship at her age. Teenage girls need other teenage girls to visit with.[/QUOTE]

I admire you both. I would never home school my kids just because if I were there teacher, they'd most likely end up morons, lol. I just don't feel that I would be able to do it well enough.

You said Kody doesn't talk on the phone with her friends, is this just since the headaches started or is she always like that? They do need interaction with other teenage girls, you are right.

That is the Teenage thing to do!!! i've seen friends sitting RIGHT beside each other texting to each other!!:confused3:rotfl: One way to keep people from eavesdropping I guess!!

That and she doesn't have to answer with more than a sentence or two. In that sense she is like her great Grandpa. On the phone he gave one and two word answers but get him in person and he would talk your ears off. And that is Kody!

Evening All

Well back to work I went today:laughing: Can't play with my new friends during the day;) so I will have to wait until the evenings to chat.

Leah - Congrats on getting back into your Sunday School Rooms......Glad Braeton had a good time at the Civil War performance. I read that Braeton had a tough day - how is he doing?

Braeton - How was your haircut?:):):):) I am just like you - I always want to go on vacation:goodvibes:goodvibes

Kelly - where does your friend live here in the Chicago area?

Michele - The yarn store I go to is about 25 minutes from home. I would travel ANYWHERE for this group of women......the owner of the store cares more about forming a community or "family" then anything else. Her attitude is if you have a community the rest will come to the business. What type of headaches is Kody having?

OrangeBlossom - What brought you to Chicago? Where did you stay?

Karen - How was the pool? The snow is slowly starting to melt BUT they are talking about snow showers later on this weekend:eek::eek: I am about 35 minutes from Downers Grove and a looooong way from Dixon:rotfl2:

Nikki - People can be stupid and cruel:headache: Don't listen!! If everyone were the same life would really really be boring:goodvibes You Go Girl - wish I had the self confidence and courage you have to be yourself:hug:

Cheri - Nice to meet you!! I have never been to Hawaii - lucky girl:thumbsup2 How cute is that puppy!!!! Have you had any luck finding his owner - I have a 4 yr old mutt (cockapoo shihtzu) and I couldn't imagine him getting lost:scared1:

Watching Dancing with the Stars - will check in later

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

It is the only way teens seem to communicate :rotfl: My girls have taught my DH and I how to do it. Sometimes when DH is in the bedroom and I am somewhere else in the house I will text him just to annoy him:rotfl2::rotfl2:

They aren't really sure yet. They have done a CT scan where they saw something, a MRI where they saw nothing. So they put their heads together and said well maybe it is a pseudo tumor and they are doing a spinal tap to find out. All I know is they better figure it out.

My DH gets so annoyed because our kids all text me during the evening and he doesn't understand why they just can't come see me. He doesn't understand that it is a cultural thing for them.:rotfl:

CHELE!! you changed your ticker!!! It better not be so people wouldn't realize we were going at the same time!!!
