I don't know much about the new DS. I believe it is called the DS eye or something like that. It has a camera on it that you can take pictures with and distort or whatever. I had the regular DS when it came out. I'm not sure about downloading things on it either. The best thing to do is go over to your local Game Stop (if you have those around you) and talk to the resident gaming nerd there and they can give you the run down on the differences btwn the two latest and greatest DS's.

Hi Everyone! How have you all been? I'm sure since most of you are on the FB you already know I lost my job and the next day had to put my little Beau to sleep. After that I didn't want to be home alone so came up to Mississippi with Bryan to see if I could find a job here. So far nothing. There aren't any jobs in MS or in LA that I haven't already applied for. Its always bad to lose your job but these days it just sucks as there are no jobs out there. I applied for Unemployment but dont' know yet if I will get it. Please keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer I get it.

Also up here in this part of Mississippi, DSL is not available so I can't always get on the internet. Bryan got us the dial up but that doesn't work very well and I can't do very much. I can't upload or download anything, I can't do my farm on Facebook and a lot of times it locks up if I am trying to just open an email. It's very frustrating. I hope that he gets tired of it too and gets internet through a satellite company. It's so much more expensive and since he's still paying all the bills for our house in LA he's trying to save money. Plus, of course with me having no job to contribute it's harder.

I know next week is Thanksgiving so just in case I don't get a chance to get on here again, I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! Be safe if you are driving anywhere and try not to eat too much, lol. What are all of your plans? We're taking the camper back to LA and our friends from FL are coming up and we're meeting a few other couples at the campground. We're going to all have one big feast together!

Hey girls. I am siiiiicccckkkkkk. I caught an icky cold from Tomato. He actually had to go and get an antibiotic for his because it was starting to turn into pneumonia. Hopefully I won't have that misfortune! Gotta get over this so I can get ready for Disney!

I can't be mad at him though. He is such a great Dad! He went to Toys R Us last night at 11:30 pm to get in line for the opening at midnight! He didn't get home until 2:30 am! A huge Star Wars vehicle that the boys want that cost 100 bucks was HALF off! We agreed he would go and get that and then this morning I'd get up at 4 to get to Walmart to get DS Lites for the boys that were on sale for 98 bucks (reg. 129). Well he did his part and I did not get up this morning! I just felt so rotten that I couldn't do it. By the time I made it over there it was 9:30 and they were all gone. Hoping Target will mark them down sometime before Christmas.

Anyway......... wanted to get my pic of the day up before it's tomorrow!

You won't be sorry. We love out Wii. You can get a good work out with it too.

Wii fit is good. We have it. There are games that you can use the Wii fit board for too, like skiing ones. Scotty likes to do yoga with the Wii fit. We have The Legend of Zelda and using the sword in the game is something else.

The Wii has come down in price too. So has the PS3. We thought about upgrading but the boys still play with their PS2 without complaint. I think we will wait.

I am debating over PSPs or DSs for them instead. I'm embarrassed to even tell you this ~ they have the old gameboy advanced! My nephew handed them down a few years ago. He had one he didn't use and one that some kid left at my sister's school and never claimed.

So... if anyone knows which is better let me know. The DS lite is the cheapest. I don't know if it's worth the extra $ for the PSP or the better DS. I've got some research to do!

DS's all the way. Better content for the kids. If you are interested in refurbished ones Game Stop has them for 59.99 I think. DD has a DS lite and DS has a gameboy advanced.

my two cents. We have had both the PSP and DS. We got rid of the PSP way faster than the DS. The DS is more interactive and more fun and easier to play in my opinion. And it has way more kid friendly games on it than the PSP does. I say DS all the way. Plus they can still play their Advanced games on the DS so you win all the way around.

I wish I was faking. This is kicking my butt. All I want to do is curl up back in bed. Alas, too much to do. If I'm not better tomorrow I will drag myself to urgent care and get some meds.

We got a new tree yesterday. Tomato put it up last night and then I had to do all the fluffing. I hate that part. But it is really pretty. I think even Orangie would approve! It's a nine foot country pine... got it at Hobby Lobby for half off! I'll take pictures after we decorate it.
