Its turning cold down here in the south, brrrr. I hate these 50 degree mornings and nights, it gets a bit warmer during the day but with the clouds and rain, not much warmer. Give me back the nice mild weather and some sunshine. I think I am finally a true southerner if this feels cold to me.'

HOpe everyone is well. If someone can give me a brief run down of what's been going on lately I'd sure appreciate it.

How was everyone's Monday? We had a normal day at school and just now I went to a ballet class, which was nice. I have grade group planning tomorrow. Basically they pull a group of teachers together and make us plan what we're doing for the next 6 weeks. It's like one boring all day meeting and meanwhile a sub is upstairs with my kids aka all heck is breaking loose! I find it to be a silly idea and it always makes for a long day. Oh well, at least we usually get food! ha!

Just found out H1N1 has hit our preschool. Figured it was just about time. I'm worried since we haven't been hit with the seasonal or h1n1 flu ... 17 days before our trip -- can I just keep us all inside?

DD peed in her pants this morning -- right in front of the toilet. Why does she do that?? ARGH. She had on jeans and I think they were a little snug so it was harder to pull them down.

I'm thinking about getting her a Leapster2 for Christmas. I started a thread on the Family board to get opinions from others.

Yep, we all got our flu (regular) shots. Elie goes back next week for her 2nd dose since this was her first time.

H1N1 not available for us either.

Does Trent have a Leapster or anything else? Rachel has a My 1st Leap pad but she's sort of outgrowing it.

Ugh... would you believe that my boys are sick AGAIN? They both are running a fever and Owen has been puking his guts out. We're headed to the doctor here in a bit. They were supposed to get the flu shot (regular) this afternoon. So much for that.

UJ said that a bunch of schools are closed in MI due to H1N1... hundreds of kids out with it. They are trying to vax all the kids here in school but I have no idea when they will actually get it done. I think it just might be too late.

I'm not up to much. I am getting a cold I think. I don't get colds often, but when I do they kick my butt. Scotty hurt himself at work so he has been home more than at work, it is killing him. Hey All, hope everyone is doing well. been busy here as usual.....I am finallly done with the house we are flipping.....its on the MARKET!! WOOO HOO....bring on some cash!!!! I have sold my DS16 car......first person that looked at it, paid full price.......I am very happy about that....

LOVE is correct H1N1 is here big time....schools everywhere are closed for all of this week....They canc. our last football game for friday night...but resched. it for Sat at noon.....dont really understand that move....???
The senior QB has it....so my stepson (sophmore) is starting QB Sat!!....he is awesome and will do fine.....I'm very proud of him.....

I am soooo looking forward to our trip to the world...... For those of you going during that time frame .......I was informed by a CM that all Value resorts are booked and all Mods. (a few at CBR) are booked......because of Pop Warner......CM said it used to be on a weekend only......now they come for a week of it...Dec. 5-12. So Hang on, it will be crowded......Parks shouldnt be too bad....kids will all be at the sports complex...I think resort pools will be swamped.......

I did get the most valued piece of info. from a CM, his name was Hamill....He let me know during my 23rd call to Disney Travel Co. (trying to add the night at POR) that when they offer a special (like Free Dining) they set back just so many rooms and if someone cancels under the special ...THEY DO NOT RE-OFFER THAT SPECIAL FOR THAT CANC........WOW Do you think someone could have told me that to save me all the calling???

Example: POR sets aside 1,000 rooms under the special....1,000 get booked under it.....50 people canc. their ressie......so they really only have 950 rooms under the special..........I have been always told I could get one of those 50 that canc........not so according to Hamill.......He advised they have a high turnover rate of employees there and a lot dont know this.

SO.....No more whining from UJ about not getting a extra night or being on the phone for hours!!!!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOO We will be fine....we will spend one night at POFQ...I will get up in the morning ck out, walk over to POR and ck in.......sit my fat keister by the pool and let them move my stuff!!!!They can let me know when my room is ready......I might even smoke a cigar and sip a cocktail while they move my stuff!!!!! (tick off the Pop Warner mommies....)

Now, one exception....IF the free dining offer period is OVER, then you can't switch and get free dining because it's no longer available--even if you already have free dining at one resort.

I hope they didn't change the policy, hope that CM was wrong! If you do call again you should ask...you can reference me if you'd like!

oh by the way....DOH!!! I totally forgot to send you your maps!!! I'm terrible!!!!! I need to get those out to you, I hope it's not too late.

Evan is the only one of us who still has tonsils. When she mentioned them I was like "oh, yeah, he has those!"

Did I ever tell you guys about Abby having hers out? Well, if so I'm just gonna repeat myself!

She had them out when she was in kindergarten, so she was 6. That little terd wouldn't eat or drink a thing afterward and ended up drying out and popping her stitches open. She was throwing up blood. It was the scariest parental moment I have ever had. I rushed her to the ER and they rushed her back into the OR to restitch her. After that the ENT told her if she didn't drink and eat that he would put her in the hospital. Thankfully it didn't come to that. Ugh, it was awful.

Owen was a much better patient when he had his out. He was in kindergarten too.

My little brother and I had ours out at the same time... when I was in first grade. I remember we shared a hospital room. They made you stay for 3 days then. This mean nurse made me eat dry toast before I could go home. Dry toast after they cut my tonsils out of my throat! I'll never forget that.

Gosh sorry ....... I'm rambling!

So bored.......... wish I could get out of the house!

what an awful time of it! And what the heck on the dry toast?? Weird!

Does anyone have any ideas for Abby's 13th birthday for me? Eli is flying down for it so I can't really let her have a slumber party. Don't think the parents of the other girls would approve that there is a 14 year old boy attending!

How is everyone doing and feeling?

Trent came home from school yesterday and was fine.

Around 4:30, he was getting blah and coughing. He felt hot to the touch

Took his temp and it was 102.9

So was giving him tyelnol every 4 hrs. I had to wake him up at one point to take it as his ever was up to 103.7 and that is just too hot.

Once I got it in him, he settled down back to sleep

He woke up at 2:30am...SO we watched some cartoons in bed and he got another dose of tyelnol

WHen he woke up this morning, he was cool.

About 11 he spiked back up again to 103, so gave him more tyelnol. He at 101 now and bouncing around and playing on the computer

There is a nasty virus going around right now. One of his best friends just had it..3 day virus..coughing and fever

Guess his turn now

poor thing. He's better now, right?

Hey Marshay! I was worried too. My older DD caught h1n1 two weeks before our trip and was in bed with a fever for a week despite being on some hard core meds. My younger DD and nephew caught the seasonal flu around the same time. They all got well, but both DW and I caught the seasonal flu while at DLR

We had 2 area elementary schools close because over 50% of the students were out. And when my older DD recovered from her bout with h1n1 she came back to classrooms that had only 5 or 6 students in them.
