Hey girl

sounds like a fun weekend

Glad you got everything u need done for your retreat next week

Where in PA are you going to be? anywhere near Nikki or Betsy?:surfweb:

Thanks Kelly. I'm glad for that too.

I'll be in Lancaster, PA. I have no idea if that's anywhere near Betsy and Nikki. I'm thinking probably not though. I asked Betsy if she wanted to meet up in Hershey but she said that's 2 hours away from her. :sad2:

Your welcome Carla, I will be here whenever you need me, if I'm not on here you know where to find me...yahoo or FB or text me, I'll be there! I hope things go well and it's not as long of a road that you thnk it will be!!!

We went camping this weekend and it was at a casino campground and I actually won money for a change, I won $70.12, $71.00, $30.15 and $60 something! Woohoo! IU did give a lot of it back but at least I finally won!

Thanks, Karen. You're so sweet

:woohoo::woohoo: good job on winning at the casino!

Hey, was anyone impressed? I actually multi quoted more than just two quotes, it was a strain but I did it, :lmao::lmao::lmao:

:rotfl: I'm quite impressed and proud of you.

First, you are doing the right thing by Chris. It obviously isn't your grandmother's time yet and him saving her was a good thing...at least this way she gets to say her goodbyes to everyone and vice versa. Closure is always good.

Re: the Ben Button movie -- really?? you didn't cry at all? Even the last like 10-15 minutes??

Oh, I was totally like you -- watched Beaches and didn't even cry ... but the past 4 years ... my pendulum has completely swung the other way...I'm crying at a commercial that shows babies growing up to become kids then teens, etc. That's what gets me the worst.

Another crybaby movie for me -- Mama Mia!! Yes, I'm such a wuss now. But when Donna (the mom) sang the song about how her little girl used to go off to school and now she's getting married...I just cried buckets.

oh I am SUCH a sap, especially when it comes to seeing those commercials with babies and stuff. I don't even have one yet and even reading what you WROTE about Mama Mia made me almost tear up....just thinking about my future children leaving home. I'm such a weirdo! :rotfl:

I know!!! The kids are fighting over who gets the bedroom. I'm leaning toward letting Abby have it even though it has a queen bed and the boys say that's a waste of bed since she is just one person! :rotfl: I just think that she is an almost 13 yo girl and she really needs her own space. What do you all think?

Anyway~ I hate to leave with you all here but I'm going to bed. I didn't sleep well last night - was up from 1 until 4, wide awake! I had a nightmare... just a half hour after I went to sleep. Isn't that weird? I finally just turned the tv on. Not much to watch in the middle night, unfortunately.

So I just finished a glass of wine and I'm going to go read for awhile and hopefully that will lead to a good night's sleep. :cloud9:

I think Abby needs it. Where else would she hang all her JB posters?!

wow, I hadn't been paying attention to any news (nor was I online) all weekend so this is the first I am hearing of this. :sad2: Disney Co must be VERY UPSET over this happening SO soon after the monorail incident. It probably wouldn't be as 'newsworthy' had the monorail accident not happened. KWIM?

Kelly sent me this email this morning to ease my mind and asked me to post it for everyone as you've all been so supportive and concerned about Trent. Thanks to everyone for your good wishes and prayers.

Hi girls
The pediatrician called me and told me his ultrasound was normal. His kidneys and stomach look normal.
She asked me if I still saw blood in his urine.
I never saw it to begin with, but last week when I cleaned up spill on toilet seat (TMI), it was dark colored.
But these past few days any spills he had, have been clear
He is no longer going every 2 hrs...His stretches are back to normal, like 5-6 hours
he is not making face anymore when he pees or saying it is hot
I told her everything he had been doing was gone.
So she told me they want me to bring in a urine sample on Monday just to make sure blood is gone.
Fingers crossed that whatever it was is gone....
Thanks for everyone prayers ((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))

MomMom thanks you all as well! We love ya'll!:grouphug:

I got this already and SO SO glad that it seems to be gone.

You know what? I am the 4th of 5 children so that thought never occurred to me. I'm going to wait until Tomato gets into the new apartment this weekend and sees how big the living room is but I am pretty sure I'll be deciding that Abby gets the bedroom.

Sharky!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO relieved that Trent's U/S was okay and that he seems to be getting back to normal! Whew!

So they are not trying to get y'all a bigger apartment? Or is it because you are getting the house so soon that they are not moving him?

And then don't forget the Typhoon Lagoon incident with that pervert they caught (he would position himself in front of teenage girls at the wave pool and then 'accidentally' grope them when the waves "pushed" him into them. That came out about 2-3 weeks ago, too.

yes, I think Disney is suffering from PR this month.

Well, it wasn't huge news. The only reason I saw it is because I follow DIS on Twitter and they posted the link there. But I totally KWYM as far as the negative press right now so soon after the monorail incident.

omg that is so ridiculous. I swear you're just not safe anywhere. Geez!

Not to sound too negative and paranoid, but you are very correct! Unfortunately we always need to be aware of our surroundings, who is watching us, etc...it's way too easy for me to forget this ... esp as I'm getting the SUV loaded up with baby and DD4, hands full, etc.

I like to think Disney is immune but of course it is not.

There was another Disney group (All Ears -DVCTalk) discussing this same topic and saying that Disney is actually a perfect place to commit crimes -- most folks think Disney is safe ... they leave their strollers and souvenirs out in public and walk away from them for like 30-60+ minutes...let their kids go off on their own in the parks, etc.

It just reminds us to be aware -- not everyone has good intentions.

:rotfl:

Enjoyed the new one tonight...Spongebob ROUND pants

I think I may need a life

:rotfl: As an adult, I enjoy Spongebob (but can see how it could affect kids' attitudes negatively like y'all were discussing)

Has anyone ever heard the joke about the broken Pencil?

Never Mind it is Pointless

I slay myself

this was so funny!!

Hi Everyone, We are back from our long weekend of campng at the casino campground. Bryan went to bed as he has to get up at 3:30 a.m. to go to the airport for his 5:30 a.m. flight. I thought he'd want to spend some time with me this evening because he'll be gone for two weeks but apparently not , lol. Oh well, his loss! :rotfl2: At least I am not taking him to the airport now, so that is good. I did not want to get up that early and drive him and then have to go to work at 4:30 a.m. when there would be nothing to do and it's very isolated where my job is located so I dodn't want to be down there and going into that big empty building alone at that hour. So I'm going to let him drive himself, they pay for his parking anyway so why not.

I never really liked Sponge Bob but it wasn't around when my kids were young and I've only seen it a few times at Kely's house when Trent was watching it but as she said he knows better than to repeat what he hears on there. So I'm sure he'll be fine.

How is everyone?

I'll try to get one more this next two weeks when Bryan is away and I can come home and do my own thing. I'll cook what I want for dinner, eat when I want and then relax and get on line and do my own thing. It should be very relaxing.

welcome back! ooh sounds like a relaxing time by yourself.

I'm thinking it was that or when he was constipated he strained and that caused it, now its all gone and he's all better and I am so thankful for that and for everyone's prayers!

Yea I am glad I don't have to take him now either, Buahahaha! My plan worked, lol.

I got the pic now, so thanks!

It was gorgeous here for the first ime in I don't know how long, no humidity and the temps weren't really uncomfortable! I hope everyone else had just as nice weather.

Your welcome Carla, I will be here whenever you need me, if I'm not on here you know where to find me...yahoo or FB or text me, I'll be there! I hope things go well and it's not as long of a road that you thnk it will be!!!

Oh no you are so right! Being paranoid is what keeps us safe. But there is a fine line between being cautious and overly paranoid. I think as long as you are aware of your surroundings and where your kids/loved ones are at all times you should be fine. You just can never be too careful. And you're right abt Disney too. I always wonder how so many ppl can leave their strollers/souvies and things just out like they do when they are on a ride. I just don't think I could ever do that. It's sad but not even Disney is as safe as we would like to think it is. I walked into each park we went to in May w/o having one of the bags on my person looked at because they just didn't see it. I even made a point to show it to one security guard and she just waved me through, acting like it would be a hassle to look at such a tiny bag. But in all reality, if I was a bad person, I could have snuck a small gun into the parks in that bag. I really think they need metal detectors AND security guards. Almost need to do it like they do at airports. Yeah it would make the lines longer but we would all be much safer as far as weapons go.

it's so sad. I wanted to cover my ears...err...eyes, while reading this. (I say ears because if someone was telling me this I think I'd put my hands over my ears and sing "do wah diddy, diddy dum diddy do" like Vaida...)

my goodness, that's just scary to think about. I couldn't imagine...

Yeah it is scary. But the security at Disney is just so poor and lacking. I wish they put their officers through mandate training. I mean, the place is like a small town.....they really need some sort of police force with better training there. I know a lot of them are ex cops but most of them are retired and slacking on the job since they are old.

Sorry I haven't been around all weekend.

Friday night we went out to dinner with a couple of friends and my cousin and then we all came back to me and Chris' house to play rockband. We didn't get to bed until about 1am. Was fun. Yesterday we went and saw Harry Potter with my Mom and cousin. It was good I thought but then again I haven't read the books....yet. I plan on getting the first one and taking it with me on my quilt retreat next week. Today I went to church and then spent the rest of the day at my Mom's house getting a few things done for the quilt retreat we are going on next week. I've got everything done that I needed to get done for the retreat. Now I just have to pack and make sure I don't forget anything. We leave on Sunday to go up to PA for the retreat and won't be back until the following Sunday. I have no idea if I will have internet access there but I will at least have my phone so I'll come on to say hi from time to time.

Anyways, I hope everyone else has had a good weekend as well.

I still can't believe I am going to miss you. Totally sucks. But I hope you have fun. We just finished Prisoner of Azkaban :thumbsup2

You're such a little smart butt!:rolleyes1

I try

Thanks Kelly. I'm glad for that too.

I'll be in Lancaster, PA. I have no idea if that's anywhere near Betsy and Nikki. I'm thinking probably not though. I asked Betsy if she wanted to meet up in Hershey but she said that's 2 hours away from her. :sad2:

Thanks, Karen. You're so sweet

:woohoo::woohoo: good job on winning at the casino!

:rotfl: I'm quite impressed and proud of you.

Oh Bummer......

make sure you take a pic of the cows for nikki :lmao:

I actually forced myself to watch SB again today...just to see what it is I don't like...I was nursing Elie so didn't have the sound on...which is an interesting way to watch tv. Anyway, I realized, it's even the type of drawings I don't like -- all the warts and craggy faces.

As for seeing something on tv that is different from what we teach -- we actually stopped watching Max & Ruby since Rachel started calling some food "bad food!" and wouldn't eat it, like Max did in an episode where Ruby tries to get him to eat an egg. Once we talked about it and stopped watching M&R, she didn't say that again.

I feel like tv is very impressionable on kids -- my opinion -- and feel like I need to be very diligent on what she watches.

Anyway, it's simply my opinion and I'm not knocking anyone for letting their kids watch SB. Each child and family is different. Sorry if I gave that impression!:flower3:

Good one!!! I'm going to tell this to DH now!:rotfl2:

How did your dh like my joke? :rotfl2:
