LOL. You two are killing me today.

"whatever it takes" huh? Well it would have taken a lot better use of Photoshop. That's so sad it's funny!

Did someone say DIS Meet? :hyper: It can be done. I just got back from one a few weeks ago. Yup, left my family behind and headed south for five days. Very out of character for me, but I'm glad I did it. We had a ball. :teeth:

My roommates are on my sig. This is a pic from a meet we had a Jiko's.

That as an idiotic statment. He's essentially doing the same thing Kerry is...blaming the troops. The troops did their job. Blaming Bush would be like blaming the CEO of an airline for a plane crash caused by pilot error.

Thankfully, Guiliani is not applying for the job of CiC like Kerry and Bush are.

Thanks. Another Republican with the idiot comments. Forget the Pleasure Island thing, and GIULIANNI MADE THE IDIOTIC statement. I can tell in your embarassment, that you are grasping at straws. Try grasping somewhere else-- like the Bush thread. Yes, what was Giulianni thinking? Troops don't set off on their own on a mission to secure weapons, they are given orders.

A CEO or CiC, or any other management acronym, should have the strength of character to say, "the buck stops here." With GW, it's the buck stops anywhere but here.

But I blame Giulianni for the statement, not Bush. Now let's see some Republican condemn what he said. Fat chance.

Another thing: I have repeatedly heard Kerry say that he supports the troops but not the war in Iraq. How much clearer can he say it?

It is almost pathological the way some of these Bushies will go to any lengths to find some excuse to rationalize the bull**** that has gone on in this administration.

They are afraid to place any responsibility for the horrific screw-ups in this administration squarely where it belongs, on Bush, for fear that little crack in the Bush facade will cause the whole thing to shatter. And then what would they do?

There's an old saying in the Mediterranean: "When a fish starts to rot, it stinks at the head first".

I'll have to turn on the TV when I get home.

I'm outta here folks. Something is wrong with my home computer, so I doubt I'll be able to check in tonight. :( Talk to youse tomorrow.

Don't think I'm going over to "the other side" by this but I interpreted the "idiotic" comment as directed toward what Giullianni said not the poster quoted. I can't, of course, know that but the rest of the post seems to support this. I do wish, though, that he'd been a bit clearer and dropped off the comment about Kerry. For example, a simple post like this would have sufficed:

That was an idiotic statment for Guilliani to make.

I just head reported on MSNBC that estimates are the majority of the ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND Iraqis killed since the beginning of the war were killed by U.S. bombing. I am stunned. Did anyone think think that many people have died in this manner?

And if in fact that's what the poster meant I'll apologize. I didn't take that inference though.

I don't think so Lisa. I think he was bothered by a comment I made on another thread about the found weapons, and he carried his anger in here. He should have left it there.

I took it as a shot at the poster also. And it should be noted that the offender has not claimed he was speaking of Giuliani. Nor has he shown where Kerry blamed the troops did he? So easy to make statements like that and not back them up isn't it?

Ahh, perhaps I'm trying to be overly empathetic as usual. That's one of the downfalls of being a Libra - I too easily see both sides in a situation and empathize with both. Luckily Bush makes it very hard to find anything to empathize with so my choice for President was easy to make.

Question for you guys. I'm trying to understand the Republican point of view. They want to keep all their money and not have the government tell them how to spend it right? They don't think the government has any business telling them what to do with their money.

But they want the government to be able to tell people who they can and cannot marry. And I'm not talking anything illegal and disgusting like pedophiles - but two intelligent and consenting adults.

Is that kind of hypocritical?

~Amanda

Didn't you know that government is only "big" when it is trying to regulate business? It can't be big enough when it comes to my body or my gay family and friends pursuing life, liberty and happiness.

hey...if you guys have a meet, you have to wait until I am fit to join you...or else have a second meet LOL

I would seriously do this the moment I am well enough.

Far be it from me to defend a Bu$hie, but I thought Dmadman was refering to Giullianni and not the poster. Could be wrong, but I think he was agreeing with us.
