For Jiko fans - what do you order?

Jiko is by far my favorite restaurant in wdw. We go everytime and everytime it gets better and better.

My husband always get the Filet mignon..its so good and always perfectly cooked for him.. and the mac n cheese that comes with it is devine.
I always get something different each time we go. But the best thing I have ever had was the short ribs. They were just so good and I always say I should get them every time Im there, but I like to try everything lol.

My favorite is the filet with mac & cheese...of course, it's also the only thing I've had there (And I've been 3 times!) I plan on branching out in October when we go!

I too have been three times and ordered the filet each time. Shameful, isn't it? I'm not sure whether I do intend to branch out when we go next in November. I think the red wine reduction really makes that meal. (For what it's worth to the OP, my boyfriend orders something different every time we go and has never been disappointed. If something on the menu looks good to you, you'll probably be very happy with it.)

I will agree that the short ribs are wonderful, but I also enjoyed the maize crusted halibut, which is a bit lighter. The BBQ chicken flatbread again is very good too. I had a great corn soup here a couple of years ago.

So, it was thanks to these boards that we tried Citricos, Biergarten, Ohana, etc... last vacation and we loved them! So, I'm seeing that lots of you like Jiko. I'm making reservations for my deluxe dining plan for my upcoming vacation and am looking at making a reservation at Jiko........

this is my problem: I've looked at the dinner menu and I have no clue what I would eat! The foods aren't your run of the mill restaurant foods and many of them are exotic. I'm allergic to shellfish and don't eat much fish but I can eat pretty much anything else. What do ya'll order?!?!?

My husband and I start with the Taste of Africa, we share and then we each get the filet with the mac and cheese and depending on mood we will also get desert.
