Please make certain to post re: your experience w/ the 2-year hopper passes. I have been told that while they are good for two years, once they are used for the first time, they expire in 13 days even if purchased at the Main Gate. Thanks.
Just returned about 30 minutes ago and I must be a computer Disney junkie for checking even though I just returned!
For your info, I purchased a 4 day park hopper pass on Sat for 137 per person and boy were they worth it. 3 day passes were 111 or 117, don't remember exactly. You can only buy them at the park and they were not lsited on the signs up on the buildings, but they were on laminated cards when you approached the booth. This deal is for everyone, but could be pulled at any time. I did see it in May when I went so that's why I had heard of it, but didn't use it at that time.
They do NOT expire for 2 years, In fact I have the tickets in front of me and it says' Not valid after 10/22/03 4 Day Park Hopper " They punched a small whole in the bottom of the ticket so you can actually see how many days you've used. It was fabulous. On Sat, Disneyland opened at 8am and we were there first thing and stayed until 10am and then California Adventures opened so we hopped over and it was a walk on almost for the first hour at both parks, except for a few big rides! I used Fastpass all day and around 2pm we went back to Disney and then around 4pm we went to the hotel and back for 8pm to CAdventures and then 9:30 for fireworks at DL. My hubby said I gave new meaning to park hopping! Tje parks are so close toe ach other that hoping is easy : ) I loved the food at CA much more than DL but that is my own opinion and would require a trip report which I hope to do later on which explains some of the hopping!
