Think I just read, might be old news, that Sears CC is being bought out by Scotia and that is the end of no fees? Is there any other card available to Canadians that doesnt have this fee?

Amazon is probably the better deal, but if you prefer MasterCard over Visa (Amazon is a Visa card), then the Marriott card is also no forex. All three are (were) from Chase bank. Having worked in the CC industry for several years, I'm not aware of any other lenders that wave forex.

Update: I discovered this morning through a LinkedIn update from a former colleague that Scotiabank will acquire ALL of the JPMorgan Chase card portfolio in Canada, so all of the 3 no forex options could be impacted. There probably wont be any immediate impact on cardholders as these things take some time, and Scotiabank will quite likely honour the cardholder agreements for the near term at least. We'll have to wait and see if they are committed to keeping this benefit longer term.

Thanks for the update bank63. I guess when you look at it for every 1000 it is only 25bucks, but still.
