For everyone who is Unemployed

I just wanted to tell anyone on unemployment, don't give up hope. I was unemployed for over 2 years and down to my last 3 days of unemployment benefits when I finally got a job. I had sent out hundreds of resumes and gone on dozens of interviews never to be exactly what they were looking for. Then the lady who does some accounting work for my uncle became controller of a small, but growing company, this company needed a staff accountant. She knew from talking to my uncle that I was an accountant and was looking for a job, so she met with me at my uncle's office and had me send her my resume.

I started my new job 3 weeks ago and it is one of the best jobs I have had. Everyone, is very nice and the owners are very friendly and willing to help you understand how things flow within the company. The whole accounting department is the controller, myself and 1 part-time employee.

I think this was God's way of teaching me to be paitent and to trust him to lead my life.

So many who get laid-off try to hide it from family and friends. This is the worst thing to do and the above story shows exactly why.

I just went back to work in May, after 15 months being unemployed.

DH is going on 8 months of unemployment now....

DH was laid off end of April, 2009. He was out of work for 10 months. Went back to work March 1, 2010 and was laid off again on May 25th. I'm concerned this one is for the long haul.

Wonderful news you're back to work in a job you enjoy! Our country is hurting, so many people in our area are out of work, my brother was recently laid off after 38 yrs at same job, company folded. My heart and prayers go out to all those unemployeed. We have walked a mile in those shoes in our younger years, and can testify it is a real test of faith, but if you can hold on, believe that God doesn't shut one door without opening another. Keep the faith
