what agency did you/have you used for China specifically, but if you adopted from other countries, they may also offer China!

If you have already adopted, would you use the same agency again?

We adopted from Kazakhstan and used Yunona, and umm no we wouldn't use them again. We personally had no troubles, but knew of many people before we went, during our stay there, and after we came home that did, and recently the agency was shut down.

LOL! DH & I are "thinking" about it ... it would def not be until next yr before we even began again! We actually wanted to adopt from China initially, but obviously, God does things when you least expect them!

I'm with Adoption House in DE...and I would NOT use them again. Another one to avoid is Adoption Blessings Worldwide.

I have met a lot of people using CCAI and everyone just raves about them. I wouldn't have picked Adoption House, but with the Waiting Children lists you have to go w/ whoever the child is listed with.

There's a really good Yahoo Group called Rate Your China Adoption Agency, lots of great info on there about the different agencies.

My sister lives in the Atlanta, GA area and used CCAI for both of her adoptions.

I went on both adoption trips with her (she is a single parent) and I was very impressed with everything they did for the families. Their rep stays at the hotels with you and are on call 24 hours/day. They seemed to go that extra mile on everything. Heck, they even arranged for a birthday cake for me in Shanghai, our port of enty, the first full day of the trip and I was the companion on the trip, not a parent. No, my sister swears she didn't ask them to do that so someone in their office just picked up on it while going through my paperwork. It happened to be my 50th so I'll always remember that gesture.

Since these trips I have become aware of other agencies through work friends and it just seems like CCAI helps with so much more. JMO

My best friend went through Bethany Christian Services (out of the Detroit area but I think they're everywhere) to adopt their baby from China. It was such a pleasant experience that they decided to adopt another child from China through the same agency 3 years later.
