We will be going to WDW next year for DS graduation. We have told DS he can bring up to 3 friends along and we will get a 2BR.

Since I've never done this before I was wondering . . .when I call MS do I have to know the names of everyone who will be in the villa? DS isn't sure who he will be taking yet and I wasn't sure how this works. Since MS is closed today I hope someone here can help me?

No, you don't have to know the names, they will just ask how many people are going. I make reservations all the time at the 11 month window, with no clue who I will be taking with me until months later!

No, you don't need the names now. I don't even think you will need the names at all, aside from the name of the person that the reservation is under. I don't recall them ever asking me for names of other people in the party. Just the total number of guests so they can give each a key.. Even at that, you can add people later or even at check in.

Thanks sgtdisney & ReneeQ fror such quick responses. I'm not at the 11 month window yet but wanted to make sure it was okay to reserve without everyone's names. Have a great weekend. Annmarie

What a nice graduation present! If you haven't already, be sure to remind DS (and friends) of the "bed configuration". If he brings along 3 friends, at least two of them will be sharing a bed! Not all kids are willing to do that even if it does mean a trip to WDW.

Enjoy the trip!

P.S. If it were me, I'd make the living room a "sleep-free" zone and have the "kids" all sleep in the second bedroom. It's just so nice to have the kitchen and living room available for those who stay up late (teenagers) or get up reasonably early (parents). I know, I'm DVC spoiled! :teeth:

The only time you really NEED other names on the reservation is if people will be arriving at different times. My wife arrived later in the day once, me and the kid checked in, got our passes and went to the parks. My wife arrived in the early afternoon and OKW would not let her in, give her the key or acknowledge that I even arrived.

That is a good policy for when I bring a girlfriend...I now know to only have my name on the ressie.

Richyams - "That is a good policy for when I bring a girlfriend" . . . shame on you! LOL!!!

CarolMN - I couldn't agree with you more about the living room being a "sleep-free" zone. We just returned on June 15th and we stayed in a 1-BR and DS brought a friend along. The friend brought an Aero bed but DH and I couldn't get up early and make tea or cook anything because they were still sleeping. We did tell them they had to deflate the aero bed and put the couch back together before they could go out but it was still inconvenient! We decided it would be better to stay a few less nights and go for a 2-BR villa next time.

DS will probably bring 3 friends and we will definitely bring aero beds so there won't be any sleeping issues. At first we were going to get 2 studios but I like being able to make breakfast in the morning and I will probably make a few meals to help the boys save money for entertainment. This is a year away and I am already getting excited!!!
