? for Buzz2001, CSR slated for rehab in 2008?

I was looking at your website, and I see that you indicate that the CSR is slated for rehab in 2008. Do you have any updated info, like when the rehabs are to start? What buildings etc?
I am seriously thinking of staying at the CSR for my visit next December, so before I start my planning I'd like to see what will be going on with the resort.

I got that info from a fellow DIS'er that has a friend that is a manager. I hope to be able to update all site once I return from my Feb 08 trip.

I know that you love this resort, but I want your honest opinion. Do you think that the CSR is a good selection for someone who is travelling alone? The size of the resort intimidates me a bit, but it just seems so beautiful. I've stayed at the CBR, is the CSR comparable in size?

I've seen many single guests there because it is a convention resort. CSR is a large resort so if you don't care to walk, you may not like it depending on what village you get. You have to take the same precautions you would going out as you would at home. CSR surrounds a 15 acre lake and CBR surrounds a 45 acre lake.

I stayed at CSR as a single traveller and felt just fine. Now mind you, I'm a man so.. if I was a female traveller I might feel more vulnerable. Not sure.

I have stayed as a single at CSR and CBR with no problems. I felt like I did more walking when I stayed at CSR than CBR.

Well, I do not mind walking at the resort, in fact it was really nice at the CBR being able to walk around the lake.
I want to stay in some of the other resorts, lately the POFQ and the Allstar Music have been my main resorts.
I think that I will give the CSR a try. Now the big question to myself is will I be able to wait until next December to get to WDW?

I think we are doing CSR Dec. 08 too. I already want to start planning that one since I'll be going with girlfriends and it will be different than my family trip to the Poly in March!! Ahh
