I am just starting to get into this whole beading thing. I went to a.c. moore the other day to get a crimping tool and noticed that there were two sizes. Which size should I get????? Does it matter????? Thanks!

Sorry, don't bead!
But nice to see you on the Craft Board.... :wave2:

Bumping this up for you!
Wish I could be of some help but I just don't have a clue!

I might be able to help with this. I teach beading at Mike's, and I know about those crimp tools. The small one is for the tiny crimp bead, the bigger one works for the crimp tube. The directions are usually on the back of the package. Just follow along, and you should end up with a folded crimp bead. Now I have to tell you my trick...I will sometimes use my plyers to make the first smash on that crimp before I use the crimping tool. I have found that if I don't, depending on what I am stringing with, it will slip.

Just make sure when you crimp that you give a good tug on your long thread and make sure that the crimp holds. Then string your beads, and when you finish run the thread back through the beads about 1 inch again, crimp and make sure the crimp holds before you do any cutting...ask me how I know this... :rotfl:

Anyway, welcome to the addiction...
