For anyone wondering- deluxe resorts are NOT decorated yet

Hello Disers!

I went on a "deluxe resort tour" yesterday, 11/12, bc i had not been to most of them. I was hoping to see just one of them decorated in all of their splendid Christmas glory but sadly that did not happen. Not one was decorated.

However, the gingerbread house at the GF is complete. They were not selling hot chocolate or anything. The gingerbread display is done at the CT. Both were very impressive and i was grateful to see those after hearing so much about them.

I know disney magic sometimes happend overnight so hopefully the resorts will be decorated
soon.

I think the Grand Floridian gingerbread house opens "for real" on Wednesday.

I think I heard the resorts get decorated the Friday before Thanksgiving week.

I wish they'd decorate earlier and take it down sooner. Last year we went like the second week of January and everything was still Christmas. Bleh. Three weeks past Christmas is too long.

I was at the contemporary last week when they were working on the gingerbread display. It was beautiful already! I would have loved to see it complete.

I thought i read in one of the posts that they start decorating after Halloween, one at a time, so i thought i would see at least one. Especially since last year (2015) when i arrived on Nov 4 POR was all decorated, including the tree! Obviously i misunderstood! If they get the mods up that fast, why not the delux?

FWIW i still enjoyed going to each resort (especially GF!). I do wish they would get decorated earlier since it seems everything else is.

Part correct, part incorrect.
Parks are done right after Halloween
Deluxe Resorts are done one at at time but not till later, so they are finished the weekend before Thanksgiving, so they'll be started in the next day or two and finished by next Sunday (roughly)
Resorts are done overnight but the Gingerbread displays can't be done that fast so they are started early enough that they are finished when the decorations are done
