hi guys :wave2:
for those of you who have stayed at POFQ did you go over to POR and use the facilites there (just being nosey ;) )is it a long walk over?also have anyone gone over and used the pool there?is it worth the trip over or did you prefer to stay at the FQ just wondering :teeth:

We did walk up there - about 10 mins lovely walk. Their big pool looked good and perhaps not as 'kiddy-ish' as the POFQ one. I think some folk go up to the quiet pools dotted around the resort. You can rent bikes, and ride the horse drawn carriages from there. The sit down restaurant is good if you just want to hang around the site for the evening instead of going further afield. We had a great pot roast there, but it could serve 3/4 people!

We had a look around but much preferred the peace of POFQ.

granmaz, i am a bit worried about the pool being a bit kiddish as well (had heard it wasn't too deep)my sons love to swim under water would this be possible at the pool at FQ? also is there just one pool at both places or do they have more?
sorry for so many questions just wondering if the boys who will be 15 and 11 would enjoy POR more :confused3 one last question (promise ;) )do you still get the 'disney feeling' you get at the all stars?my youngest loves what the maids do with his toys and things

thanks again

Well, I'm afraid we didn't go swimming at either resort but there were adults in the pool. You could ask on the resort thread on the Frequently asked questions about POFQ. Just to mess up your plans, perhaps the boys would like Riverside better - ask about that too. We haven't been to AS, but POFQ is very much quieter I believe. What about POP? This is no help at all is it? I didn't realise you had a teenage boy and a preteen! There were some teens around, but I didn't get the impression that it would be favourite resort for that age.

granmaz you are helping :thumbsup2 i have already booked the FQ before i asked questions so i guess i will have to stick with it now :confused3 but if the kids prefer the other resort pool then we can always go over and use it but hey i suspect we will be in the parks most of the time and we could always go to one of the water parks :)

From your question on the resort thread, they seem to think your boys will love it, so that is a good recommendation. I forgot about the games room - well I never needed it so....!
Anyway I look forward to hearing all about it.

I have stayed at them both - the Riverside when it was Dixie Landings. It is easy to walk and they are both lovely. Why not stay at one one year and try another next time. The boat rides to DTD are magic. I just wish I was there now!! We got bikes out too and used the pool at the other resort.
