Are the prices for rental of chairs and beach umbrellas the same as what's on the DVC website? We will be there in two weeks, and the prices listed on the website say good through March 2005. I just want to be sure I am passing on correct information about rental rates to my extended family who want to rent when we get there.

Thanks for the help!

From this June. I'm guessing they're not the same :sad2:

Have a great trip :beach:

BTW... What is W.I.S.H.?

Somehow I knew you would be able to tell me what I wanted to know - thanks for the information! And yes, you would be correct, the rates are not AT ALL the same. I think it's time the DVC member website was updated!

W.I.S.H. is a sub-board here on the DIS. It stands for We're Inspired to Stay Healthy. It is meant for anyone who is trying to lead a healthier lifestyle - lose weight, eat better, exercise more, quit smoking, etc. My sister encouraged me to check out the board, and I started a journal there last fall (which is the link in my signature). I found that they are an INCREDIBLY supportive group of folks there. I am still struggling with my health issues, but I haven't given up - I even managed to finish my first ever 5K at Disney in May! So I will keep journaling there and trying to support others as much as they have supported me, in the hope that I can get a little closer every day to a healthier life!

Thanks again for the information - I am SUPER EXCITED about this trip!

Would it be "tacky" to bring a beach blanket to Vero? I can't see paying those rental fees.

No, several do that! OR stop by the Walgreens or Walmart when you get to Vero and pickup a few cheap chairs for your trip.

We picked up a few things, no chairs, but boogie boards, beach toys for our three then gave them to a family as we left.

Not at all, we bought 2 chairs and an umbrella at walmart for less than 1 days rental. The beach in front of the resort is public you can bring whatever you want. We also pack a lunch and bring drinks down from the room. Just watch the tide or you'll lose it at high tide, sure hope the beach has not eroded to much from this last storm. Vero really needs a beach replenishment program. HH was in the process of replenishing the last time we were there and their beach was no where near as bad as Vero.
