For anyone waiting on a free case\bumper for their iPhone

Just thought anyone here awaiting a free bumper from Apple for their iPhone might like to know that the ship date you were given may be very inaccurate.

I ordered one the day the offer for the free one was made available, and my initial e-mail said it would ship the end of August. I just received an e-mail from Apple stating it had shipped,and will probably arrive next week. (I think it's dated August 3rd or something).

Good news if you are waiting on one. Don't think I'll be using it, as I like the naked look, and have zero reception issues, but I figured, what the heck, if they are offering, I'm taking.

My original shipping date was said to be August 27th.
Got an email on Sunday saying it had been dispatched so I should get it tomorrow

I imagine they over estimated the dates to cover their backs

Just curious, did either of you get a bumper or case??? My wife ordered a case the morning it was available, but no e-mail saying it's been shippe already.

Bumper ordered here, friend ordered a different case tho and hasn't got the email either

I didn't pick the bumper, so I'm still stuck with a late September ship date:-(

Bumper just arrived.
Really don't understand the point of this as it offers no protection. Unless of course they knew about the reception problems therefore designed this solely for that reason

Went For the basic black bumper as well. Probably won't use it, but if I do, I would prefer it over a full case as I hate to cover the beauty of the device.

I ordered a green bumper at the same time I preordered. It offers litte protection. The scratch proof glass on the back has a small scratch on the apple most likely from keys in my pocket.

I am getting a gift card mailed to me as I originally used a gift card for the bumper. I might wait a few months for more cases to hit the market.
