For anyone there right now hows the weather?

OKW Lover said: Folks, I live 2 miles from WDW. The weather for the past month or so has had rain in the forecast practically every day. In that time its actually rained twice.

Good to hear!!! Fingers crossed for that Florida sunshine next week and beyond

Is 1st and 2nd week of May still pretty much the same weather as now?
Never been to WDW in early May, so wondered if we should expect lots of thunderstorms.

I was there last year the 2nd week of May and it was perfect only one rain episode that lasted 45 min or so oh and it rained a little later while we were getting ready for dinner to for an hour or so but the rest of the week was sunny mid 80's no rain. Thankfully, the day after we left it hit 90 something and I was happy to have not had to deal with that. I much prefer mid 80's lol.

Remember last September that was a whole 'nother story we broke records...so shall we talk about love bugs :duck:
saw a few this morning.

Yep! was supposed to be cloudy all day today...but only bright blue skies outside:) 100% chance of rain yesterday and not a drop.

Some slight sprinkles and guests complaining about the humid conditions. View from Norway @ 3:30image.jpg

We just got back from there staying 4/7-4/12. It was unusually hot (in the 90s). After being there 6 other times, it did seem pretty humid for this time of year. But nothing a dip in the pool, water park, Kali River Rapids, or Splash Mtn wouldnt take care of :)

The weather showed chances of rain almost everyday, but only rained once and that was Saturday night which was our last night there. We just pulled the ponchos out and kept going.

I was in WDW all last week. There were several days that the forecast in the morning was calling for the chance of afternoon showers/thunderstorms. Other than the storm that delayed our flight on the way out on Saturday, it only ever rained one afternoon, and it was barely rain, more of a misty drizzle.

IGNORE the forecasts. I need to take my own advice. Only setting yourself up for disappointment.
I do this to myself every single time and the weather forecasts are constantly changing and inconsistent.

I've gone when they called for rain and it was sunny all day long. I've gone when they called for sun all day, but it ended up rainy. When it comes to WDW weather, I've learned you just need to wake up and see what magic awaits your day!

Honestly, it's a toss up every day. Bring your ponchos and make the most of it! For example: today, it said it would probably rain this afternoon, then it said 95% chance of rain at 7pm and 8pm, then by late afternoon it dropped to 20% and it never rained. But it looked like it would for sure when I checked at noon! The entire time we've been here it's had the greatest chance around dinner time - a couple of times it has, and then other times it hasn't. :)

I just checked wesh.com and they scaled back to 20% for Tuesday and Wednesday now so yay!!! I don't care about a little rain but I've seen and been in Florida deluges and it ain't pretty ha! I remember years ago, having tix to the pirates and pals party and it rained so hard with lightening that we just couldn't go and had to get our money back. Never did get to that party!

There was a major thunderstorm last night - it began sprinkling as Fantasmic ended.

Overcast all day for the region - Davenport to Winter Park. Major thunderstorm occurring right now in Davenport which is about 30 minutes southwest of the parks.

Got here monday had ALOT of rain that night but we slept through it due to jet lag. We havent seen rain during the day until today-raining now and expected to be thunder and lightening for the next hour or so (all outdoor rides at MK are currently closed). Weather has been nice and sunny and very hot and humid in conparison with our last two trips in october and early may.

Wait it out, you'll have the park to yourself when it ends.

My dad lives there and says it is unusually hot & humid for this time...however as other posters have said the weather changes like the visitors in the world....minute by minute. Don't count on the forecast, just have your ponchos ready and stick to your plans!
