When OHIO STATE can win 34 in a row then they will be Champions. Until then CANES are still # 1.

Ed,
The game was played on a neutral playing field and the best team won.Ohio St went undefeated and beat the defending undefeated champs. Nothing more needs to be said.
Check out the link below from the Phoenix paper.
Buckeyes are #1...check out the polls if you don't believe me.;)

I thought Lee Corso said it best,

Miami had the best athletes; Ohio State had the best team.

O-H-I-O!

:)

It will be interesting to see how many buildings and cars they can set on fire this time! Fire the department should be business for a week.

To exactly quote what was said last night on TV ...

1) "Ohio State has the best damn band in the land!"
2) "Ohio State has the best damn fans in the land!"
3) "Now Ohio State has the best damn team in the land!"

Very true except you forgot............the best "coach in the land".

P.S. We had the pleasure of watching Jim Tressell coach at YSU (Youngstown State)for 15 years before he got hired at Ohio St 2 years ago.You won't find a coach with more "class" any where in the country.

'Twas a lovely sight to see, and one I won't forget for a long time!!!

now if only the Browns.....

nah, never mind.....

:D

National champs?? when they had trouble beating Illinois and Michigan?

:p Let's add a big thank you to my Cincinnati Bearcats for graciously dropping 2 game winning touchdowns in the last minute so as not to spoil the Buckeyes season.:bounce:

Final record for Ohio St is 14-0, won BCS National Championship,ESPN Poll champs,AP Poll champs.Beat the defending champs,do you need any more proof.

P.S.Thank you Bearcats.;)

As a former Columbus resident during the Woody Hayes era and a long time OSU fan, thanks to both teams for a great game.

I can't tell you how happy I am to see our Buckeyes as National Champs! It has been too long...they really deserved this one!!

Here's a tidbit that we living 10 minutes from OSU know and we're willing to share. We know the incentive for last night's terrific win-----Coach Tressel promised the team that if they went undefeated, he'd wear his hair in corn rows!

How's that for incentive and won't that be a "wonderful" sight!

Go Bucks!

Great Game, Great Season - all of you Miami and Michigan fans should just graciously acknowledge a Great victory by Ohio State and quit your boo-hooing or rationalizations. ( I guess a close call from a school like Rutgers should tarnish your record too Miami???? c'mon) Miami had a great streak, a great team, and a great run, now it is time to return the title to where it belongs, the Midwest, Ohio, the cradle of football greatness.

Our Boys from Canton played pivotal roles to boot! Mike Doss, Kenny Peterson, and Tyler Everitt (from my Alma Mater, Canton Mckinley HS - AND - 1997 USA Today National HS Champion Teammates) and Dustin Fox, GlenOak graduate where I serve on the Board of Education, and my children attend.

Yes indeed, Stark County made a great showing!

Some unfinished business yet . . .

GOOOOOOOOO Browns!

Now all You Steelers fans can chime in. :)

It was not a pretty night at our house ;)

Jhalkis,

Not only did your guys from Canton make a great showing...

BUT...Don't forget a certain quarterback from the great state of MICHIGAN!!! ;)

Maybe one of these years MSU will be in the running for National Champs. (Well, we were National Champs in basketball a couple years back!) Until then, I will savor the fact that the Big 10 is the greatest conference!!!!
