For $2 Billion Disney could have built 16 major attractions instead of fast pass+

A few attractions are "iconic". Like Space Mtn, Small World....

Even you didn't include 7DMT in that thought. :)

It's preposterous to argue that Disney shouldn't, couldn't, or hasn't replicated attractions among it's theme parks. One only has to look at what attractions have simultaneously existed at DL and WDW to know that.

As far as what's been done in the last few years and what might be planned for the next few, I think Money82 has a better grasp of what's trending at Disney right now. What would you say if Frozen did, in fact, turn out to be nothing more than a boat ride with rear-projection images like the Mexico ride?

Would you continue to use adjectives like "Astonishing, inspiring, outstanding, fabulous, and fantastic"?

My money is on an affirmative response.

1. given that the original topic of this thread was spending 2 billion dollars on attractions in Florida, I see no reason to expand my scope beyond that.

2. we have a very different definition of significant.

On attractions, this would not be limited to rides (of which there is technically none at Disney World any more and only on at Disneyland and that's Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, all others are considered attractions).

I predict that fuzzylogic would break out in song and dance during the attraction, similar to what I do during 7D in an effort to convince myself that it is awesome.

And what will you say if it's an entirely new, great ride? Will you say you were wrong? Will you apologize for making fun of posters who DARE to like things you deem unworthy?

Travis would have nothing to apologize for. He's not making any predictions. Fuzzy predicted greatness, Travis said not so fast. I'm not sure why that would warrant an apology.

Haven't you realized it's blasphemy to criticize Disney? ;)

Oh come on. Weak sauce.

You guys seem to think that dishing it out is your only option.

You must have me confused with someone else:

If that's what you see it as, then I am just glad to not be you. :confused3

This would not surprise me, with how overtly uninspired you are.

Just because something isn't cool to you, is that cause to go around to ppl who like it and go "that sucks" "that sucks" "that's awful" "terrible". Do you do that in real life? If you think someone overpaid for a shirt, do you go to someone at work and say "that shirt sucks dude why'd you spend so much on it" and when they explain why, tell them every day they wear it how much you hate it? It's weird that you put so much effort into hating New FL.

Agree! We're seeing tons of new development across the world! I love what they did w the EF, Frozen coming to EC, TT refurbed in 2012, Soarin in 2014, revitalizing AK with Pandora, and Star Wars to HS next just in Florida. That's all 4 parks getting major new stuff from ride refurbishments to entire lands in like a 5 year period, all while at the same time rolling out a technological FP and Magic Band system, adding hotels, refurbishing others. It's a good time to be going to WDW. :)

Just look at how amazingly much will have changed between 2012 and 2017.

Test track refurb was so-so. Nothing fabulous. As far a Soarin, what refurbishment? I've heard rumors, but nothing else. Same with DHS and Star Wars.
I just don't understand how you can be excited by nothing but rumors. Based on your statements, it seems that you'll be happy with anything Disney does even if it turns out that they do nothing.

Great question. I've never been but a friend who recently got back from Tokyo Disney raves about it.
I wonder if it's because Tokyo Disney isn't directly funded by Disney. I'm pretty sure the Oriental Land Company pays for the park development.

Soarin' over the World is definitely coming. Probably next year.

I believe that OLC was able to secure exclusivity clauses in their contracts for certain attractions. This was sort of an incentive to invest. I believe some attractions do have expirations to their exclusive rights. The same thing holds for Shanghai and Hong Kong.

I would love to have some of these attractions in the US.
