Hi everyone. We got moved to page 2 - can't allow that to happen ;)

Snow still not melted around here, we're so happy we planned our trip in December or we would have NEVER made it.

We can't do it, but we seriously considered planning a last minute trip in June when we heard they extended Star Wars weekend to the 13-15th. We've always wanted to do a SWW, but school gets out on the 13th. Certainly not getting early because they didn't use snow days!!!

Sharon!!!!! that funny, I was throwing around a dad, daughter trip in june myself. (tammy cant get out of work)
I am kinda holding off till after income taxes this year. :rolleyes2 we used all our points last year for the every sixty day marathon trips so im left to paying cash. I would like to squeeze another trip on my ap before my june 15 renewal.

IM STILL LOOKING AT THE GREEN EARS ON MY DESK. ::yes::

32...................... not bad. :drive:

hello bc!!!! :thumbsup2

Howdy! We've been thinking about creating status levels of bronze, silver and gold for veteran 2,000+ mile WDW drivers. :moped:

The 10-25-50 trip totals may be a bit too severe, although you qualify for "gold."

Perhaps, 5 trips for bronze, 10 for silver and 25 for gold might be more appropriate. Or a 10-20-30 split. Your thoughts. Remember: this a fun-flavored achievement not a competitive one.

All the best. :thumbsup2

Cool, I'd be silver - I have 3 in the nineties and 9 in the Oughts.

You certainly qualify for at least a bronze, perhaps a silver, depending on how the levels are finally determined. We are awaiting feedback from dvczerfs and other veteran drivers.

All the best. :thumbsup2

Hehe, cool. Haven't checked in here in a while, but always follow the thread. 5 drives for us at this point; started driving back in '09 when we realized we could stay longer with that flight money, LOL. (Coming form Allentown PA area, roughly 1100 one way).

Drive number 6 coming this August for a combo family trip, and 25th anniversary stay at the Wilderness Lodge! (I'm hoping to maybe squeeze in a spring trip to flower and garden but eh, the budgets tight this year)!

I think the 10-25-50 maybe a bit to high. I would tend to be more for the 10-20-30 range. 30 trips for most people would be a good 25-30 years of trips to the world. but.............. you make the call! :thumbsup2

off topic again!!!!!

for the people who met, know or followed along with brianas college program. this coming Tuesday one of her close friends that she met on the program is flying in to visit from Oregon. she will be here for seven nights and out of those seven nights I will be here alone with them for four of them. my wife has to go into nyc for work which leaves me alone with the two of them. :eek:
this should be good!!!!!! :sad2:

if you don't hear from me, come looking for me!!!!!! :scared1:

if anyone one of you know someone who is thinking of doing the cp program..... just tell them you maybe far away from home, work may be a bit crazy, you may have to deal with some nut cases but you will meet, live and work with people from all over the world and you will have a new entire group of great friends for the rest of your life. :thumbsup2
another thing that surprised me was how managers, team leaders keep in contact with kids who graduated.
im glad briana did the program. after all those trips she was on as a kid and all the memories as a child, she now has yet more great memories of wdw. I think as a parent its one of the only things we want for our kids! :thumbsup2

What is your status level as a 2,000+ Mile Round-Trip Driver?

Here are the tentatively planned levels that will soon be placed on page one of this thread:

5 drives to WDW: "bronze"
10 drives to WDW: "silver"
15 drives to WDW: "gold"
20 drives to WDW: "platinum"
25 drives to WDW: "diamond"

Drives above those levels can be catagorized in multiples. For example, someone who makes 40 drives is "double platinum;" Fifty drives: "double-diamond." :worship:

Remember: this is just meaningless fun, but if you are seeking a long-range driver status, we've got one for ya! :moped: :laughing:

All the best. :thumbsup2

Impressive: a multiple status family! :cheer2:

The five driving status levels have been formally introduced!
See post #1 on page #1.

Drive safely.

All the best. :thumbsup2

I made the drive in 96, 97,98,10,12,13 and 14. My first non stop drive was in 2010. Now I live here so no more drives unless I go back to pa to visit family.

Cool on approaching your 30th! We were were also darn young by today's standards, I was 21, my wife, Davian, 19 :).

25 years later, I'd do it all over again and am looking forward to the next 25 :goodvibes

Same on Uncle Sam too. He could be the deciding factor in a spring trip as well :lmao: (Those extra 0's could help too) :rotfl:

When was your first "non-stop" drive and your most recent one? The info is needed for the records page.

Thanks.

All the best. :thumbsup2

1st = March 1992

Last = March 2013

Next = March 2014

See the pattern :)

our last flight was in 2008 when we did a cruise + WDW trip. With 2 kids now, its about $1,300 to fly round trip, and less than $400 to drive. So we save the $900 and drive most of the time now.

Its funny we have come full circle. We used to drive because we were poor in the 90's. Then we flew because we were starting to be successfull as adults. Then we had kids and became poor again so we went back to driving.

Now we are just "frugal"!!!
