We're leaving Wed afternoon driving straight through taking I95 all the way. I expect to roll into Orlando early Thurs afternoon. Yeee Haaa Disney here we come!!! :cool1:

We are assuming that Harryo is staying at least through the weekend? If that's so, expect to possibly cross paths with sharadoc, dvczerfs and bc1836.

[Could be a new record to add to the list: Most 2,000+ mile round-trip drivers at WDW at the same time!]

All the best. :thumbsup2

Of course I text...I have teenagers :rotfl2: We are staying at OKW, but will stop in at the Wave for a drink......Looking forward to hearing from you.

Or we could meet at the Gurgling Suitcase?? I'm sending a PM with my cell and info.

Cool - DIS meets with the coolest people on the DISboards :thumbsup2

Cool, Very Cool,:cool1: We are doing Universal Thurs to Sat then Disney for a week or so staying at Marriott Grande Vista.

well we r back from our trip and let me say that we couldnt have made it without the people on this thread. We all did well. My son did so much better than I thought he would even with the dvd player breaking on the way home. I am so tired and worn out today. Hope everyone has safe travels. We saw some major terrible accidents on the way there and back so sad.

As of now, five 2,000+ mile round-trip drivers will be at WDW for part of the same week beginning next weekend: pamjb, Harryo, sharadoc (left you a phone message minutes ago), dvczerfs (left you a phone message minutes ago, too) and bc1836.

Cool.

All the best. :thumbsup2

Awesome. My phone was off and charging. I'll listen to it soon. Thanks for the heads-up.

Well I,m not part of the June group going but will be there July 21-July 31. Round trip from front door to Pop Century entrance is 3004 miles. It takes us about 24 hours to drive it but we do it 12 hours each day going down and 16 hours the first day coming back with about 8 hours left the 2nd day. Hopefully not a lot of road construction because it certainly affects the time driving involved.

We have 11 days left :cool1: I am so excited!

Rental is reserved (15 passenger van, yay), motel for the trip down is booked. We're going to drive to Brunswick GA and then stop for the night and finish the trip the following day. Leaving 6/25 and returning 7/2.

Now I only need to finish packing which is no easy feat when I have work, grad school and the usual end of the school year activities and general house work...Oh yea and I have to pack for 6 people:scared1:

I can't wait...

For us its 4502KM from Ontario, Canada to Orlando.

Where is my phone call..lol??

You have to PM BC with your info. Dave already has it and I PMed you my info. I'm assuming we'll do a phone chain thing.

Or don't I count  ;) :rotfl:

Also leaving on July 9 around 6-7 a.m. Figure about 12 to 14 hours on Day 1 and then arrive in Orlando sometime late afternoon or early evening on July 10. Hope traffic won't be too bad but who cares...we're going to Disney (and Universal too!!).

We've got 2 trips coming up, one to WDW at a round-trip distance of 4158 miles and one to Disneyland at a round-trip distance of 4152 miles! It still amazing to me that we're almost exactly the same distance away from WDW and Disneyland! Can't wait for the drive down. We just purchased a new Mitsubishi RVR GT and we love it so far. We've driven down to Florida and California several times now in our Mitsubishi Lancer and it didn't have air conditioning! We're definitely going to enjoy the air conditioning in the new vehicle! :rotfl: Plus we have a lot more space in this one. What we're not going to enjoy is the increased fuel costs, as the new vehicle isn't quite as nice on gas as the old one.

(the make up and hair straightener are not mine):lmao: ill be picking up tammy at 2 pm infront of were she works on friday and we are going to drive about 100 miles into virginia. stay till about 3am at the hampton inn than drive the rest of the way!!

Just tried phoning dvczerfs and sharadoc. Unsuccessful again. Perhaps we'll have better luck with a cell phone connection on Main Street USA! :upsidedow

All the best. :thumbsup2

Got your number. I have another cell number that I'll call you with, too.

BC - can you text? It's a lot easier than trying to call and leave phone messages, especially when trying to find each other in a park. Or will you be online while you're there? I have a few days where we definitely know our schedule, but the rest will be winging it.

I know you don't like to publicize anything, so I'll PM you, Dave and Pam my tentative days schedules and we can see if there's the possibility of ALL of us someplace at the same time. I'll probably do that tomorrow because unlike DAVE, we are NOT packed and still have stuff to do. :lmao:

Alas, we're non-text types. At least for now.
All the best. :thumbsup2

I have a friend that lives in Jacksonville and she put on facebook this evening that they are having trouble with wildfires. Has anyone noticed this going through on 95, or is this a non-issue? Thanks!
