Weather is fine driving back. I know the weather last week was rather wet, but I figured we're at Disney and its all good.

Oh yes. Went inland to Nottingham, PA and got more clobbered there. Now we're figuring Irene was a practice round for us. We'll be heading for WDW next week, and with the uncertainty of what'll hit while we're gone, we'll do the same prep here again, before we go.

Honestly, the only reason why we left was because I couldn't stand the thought of high tide ruining both vehicles. Not with a Disney drive looming.

As far as people from my area heading to the Poconos, there are still areas around here without power and roads are still closed due to the damage the flooding has done...they finally fixed a major traffic light that I pass on my way home from work. Slowly but surely, we're getting back to normal...although fortunately for my particular area, we fared ok.

Just realized it is only a month away, dvczerfs will be there just ahead of us few days.

My gosh, I have to pack...clean, laundry, what do I do first....

But, to back to reality, I have been working like crazy with added work load of weather related ins. claims. Tomorrow is one sewer backed into basement, a pantry ceiling that fell down, leaking roof from wind damage, venues with damage and need to get up and running for events with 5 structures damaged. OT mean $$$ Feast or famine with this job, these weather events have me

All tomorrow. Today was a nightmare, with hrs on the road (pacticing for the drive down I called it) I ache so bad. Just uploading my reports so I can get some sleep.
This is my second job, still have the first one too at court hearings yesterday, protection orders and child endangerment. The menfolk have been driving me around.

It's September - only a few weeks until we leave for Disney on a roundabout way. We are going to Houston first to visit the grandkids and then on to Disney and FL to visit the other grandkids - so it will be over 2000 miles just to reach Disney. Have our hotel reservations, MNSSHP tickets, and Sweet Seats at the 3D Dessert Discovery reserved. Now to figure out Halloween costumes and start getting things ready to pack. Also need to check with the kids about what food items they want us to bring that they can't get in TX or FL.

Don't I know it! Just back from an absolutely WONDERFUL 10 night stay, 13 days with driving , and have the post Disney blues bad!

You know what the best cure is for me? To know I booked a bounce back for 10 nights next August before leaving! (That, and the fact we might actually buy DVC this year)!
