If I have a FP for FOP, how long should I expect to wait? Does the time of day (other than the first hour) effect this much? I'm assuming I won't be walking on. My trip is in early August. Thanks for your help.

- It is rare for any FP wait at any normally-operating attraction to exceed 15-20 minutes. This includes the most popular or lowest capacity attractions such as Avatar Flight of Passage or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. However, be aware that some attraction preshows (FOP, notably) can take 5 minutes or more, and for purposes of this thread FP wait is not figured into total attraction time (to include pre-show, boarding, and attraction time).

5-15 minutes, depending on the amount of other FP holders in the FP line. We rode it Sunday afternoon with a FP and waited 5-10 minutes. YOU'LL LOVE IT! Be sure to look all around because there are a lot of details to see. Enjoy!

1-25 min

Depends if you include being told what ramp to go to and preshow as part of the wait time. Some have went right on, some have had a delay and had the FP take a little longer than 30 min.

I would usually anticipate about a 5-20 min wait to get to the briefing room of FoP, but if you have something to get to after the ride then I'd show up a little earlier if possible just in case

We rode FOP today with a FP. The walk through was totally empty (11am) with a small crowd of 15-20 people waiting at the ride entry. The longest wait was actually in the pre-show segment. We were in there at least 5-7 minutes before getting on the ride.

It’s totally amazing btw. Should not be missed!

We went twice in November with FP. First time, from the time we entered the FP line until we got off the ride was 45 minutes. We stood in line without moving for a while, though. There must have been issues with the ride. The 2nd time took more like 30 minutes beginning to end.

I can’t say for certain exactly how long we were in line but each of the 8 times we rode in November it took between 35-45 minutes from entering the FP line to exiting the attraction.

What do you define as "wait with a FP"?
a - Do you define that as the time you wait from when you tap your FP till you merge with stand by riders?
or
b - Do you define that as the total ride time?
Personally, since having a FP should only apply to the time before you merge with stand by riders, I only use definition a. It's rather misleading to use definition b since having a FP, or not, is irrelevant, once you've reached the merge point. Everyone's wait is the same from the merge point on. If that makes sense.
So, once you scan in with your FP, and walk up to the merge point, it's usually 2, 3 min. So basically no wait at all. I've ridden FoP approx 20 times with a FP and never had more than a dozen in front of me at the FP scanners.
Now, once you scan in and merge with the stand by and get sorted in to lanes (think like at Soarin') that wait is usually a total of about 30 min, on avg. I think of that as the ride length. From that point, the fact that you had a FP is completely irrelevant. FP riders don't get a separate ride line

For option A, I've ridden it once where I waited 5-10 minutes from tapping FP to merge point and most recently was a walk on for FP to merge point. You will usually wait a little for the "party size" cast member, but that's normal.

This has been exactly our experience. We've ridden it 5 times with FP+ and, even if we walk right through to the merge point, there was always a bit of delay to be assigned a room and twice there were delays with the pre-show and the ride. We've always been through the entire experience in about 35 - 45 minutes as well.

It really varies. We have nearly walked on with a FP and waited up to 20 minutes to get to the merge point and assigned a room.

Our wait times were different each time we rode with one long time.

I swear one attendant was ignoring our lane completely letting the two lanes around us go. I waited 20min in the line waiting to be assigned to a room. The lady in front of me finally said something to the attendant about how long we were waiting and we finally were assigned.

Other times, the CM's were evenly taking different rows and we waited anywhere from 5-10min.
