We are planning an upcomming trip arriving on 2/28 but staying off site. What are my chances of booking a FP for FoP at 30+4? Are they still as difficult to obtain as they were two years ago?

Unless the hours change, they are VERY difficult to get. That said a there has often been recommendations to go near the end of the night as the wait times are often inflated to prevent last minute passengers.

Even at 60+1 there were 0 FoP fastpasses available. The only reason I was able to get it was because I pretty much was constantly checking MDE. But it was still well away from the 34 day mark when I picked it up. You might luck out but the closer to date your trip is, the harder it is to get those top tier FP's.

What are the typical wait times at RD these days?

Unless you're near the front of the pack, it can easily be at least an hour, but can climb really quickly to 2-3 hours in a few minutes since that's where everyone is headed. I even witnessed this during EMH, when it's limited to only resort guests.

If you’re the last person in line at RD on a light crowd EMH day, as little as 30 minutes. On a busy day you could still be at 120 minutes+ to the room where you actually get on the ride. I’m guessing early March if you’re last in line at rope drop will be closer to 2 hours. Lines are actually *shorter* most days for FOP around lunch time because so many people try to rope drop.

Get there very early, or my best suggestion is get in line 2 minutes before park close. You’ll wait around 30 minutes.

Very true.
When we have done RD and arrived 60 minutes before, our wait was about 15 minutes, but we were at the front of the pack. When we got off the ride, the wait was 90 minutes. The line builds that fast.
Riding near close, our waits have been 15-30 minutes.

You aren't going to have a 30+4 advantage. That's not a thing. You have to do your fastpasses one day at a time thirty days out from that day. Watch for increased park hours, that will be the best way to grab one. They will add more fastpasses to account for the increased hours.

Echoing this post. I was there last week and stayed off-site so all I had was 30 days to book FPs. In the weeks leading up to my trip, I couldn't find one for FoP. My plan was to ride near close, but after trying to modify a FP to one for FoP during the day I was in AK, I was able to score two. It's definitely possible to find them day of; you just have to keep refreshing.

We travel to Florida on the 30th December and are booked to stay onsite until the 8th January. I did FPs for my whole onsite stay at 60 days out and managed to get a FP for FOP. We then stay offsite until the 16th January and so I was able to start making FPs on the 10th December - 30 days out. I have to do them a day at a time - so far no luck with FOP or SDD and 7DMT for that matter.

Your best shot is change of hours a month to few weeks out. Yesterday when they changed Hollywood hours for decand jan people were able to get fastpass for slinky dog and not just in the new hours as people changed to early slot it freed up slots later in the day. So after you make fast pass booking check each day for change in hours. There is probably already a thread for hours watch for month your going

Up until today, I've never been able to get one before 60+4. I just booked one this morning for my first day (60). I was unable to get SDD at all. I wonder if SDD is becoming more popular because of the Star Wars rides.

In the past I have found one by refreshing day of and by snagging one when hours changed. GL

I pulled 2 different times last week same day around noon. They were too late in the day to work for us but it is possible.

SDD is hard to get because of the tiering in DHS, where basically every "must-do" ride is tier 1.
