FOP FP 5:45-6:45 ROL 6:30 - we have dining package

So I'm still stressing out about this. Nov. 9 AK day.

Option 1: get to FOP at 5:40, hope it all goes well. Get out by 6:10 and get to ROL at 6:20 ish. Dining package suggests we get to ROL by 6:15

Option 2: go to ROL which is technically a 15 minute show. Leave at 6:45 to go to FOP and use the 15 minute grace period - so as long as we're at FOP by 7:00 we're ok? Park closes at 8.

Of course still trying to get another FP time but we were lucky enough to snag these at 59 days...

Time is tight if riding FoP after ROL. It might take some time to get out from the area with everyone moving out at the same time. Pathway is more crowded as well. Sit in the last (top) row, so you can leave immediately after the show if you choose Option 2. We were a bit late getting to ROL and sat in the last row with perfect view of the show. So Option 1 is workable if you are going in a low crowd season. We went in late August with dining package.

I don't see it. Even with option 2 you are hoping for a grace period which may or may not happen with FOP.

There may be a cutoff at the end of the day especially if you are late on your fastpass. If there are too many people in line already the ride may be closed to any more guests.

Option 2 is still your best bet out of the 2. Absolutely keep trying to get a different time.

I would say option 1. With Option 2, you will be fighting against the stream of a few thousand people leaving ROL at the same time. It's very slow moving and the CMs are corralling everyone in the same direction so it's super hard to take sneaky short cuts to get around it.

With Option 1, if the show is at 6:30pm you could totally make it after FOP. If your FP starts at 5:40 you can enter at 5:35, and you'd probably be out by 6pm or so. Even if you got out at 6:15pm, it's only going to take 10 minutes to walk there and you're still 5 minutes early.
