So I'll be at AK this Friday. This is a spur of the moment trip :dancer: :dogdance: so my FP choice was limited. There are 2 of us and we are RD people so we will be at the gate of AK an hour before opening. The park opens at 9am. I was thinking FOP first thing.

Here's my dilemma; I have a NRJ FP at 5:30 that night. I do not have a FP for KS. I'd like to do NRJ right after FOP but don't want to risk a long wait at KS. Should I stick with my FP for NRJ at 5:30 and go right to KS after FOP? How long would FOP and NRJ take and would I be screwed at KS if I go after those 2? I have a FP for EE at 10:05-11:05 so I'm not worried about EE and a FP for Dinosaur at 4:25 so I'm thinking keep the NRJ FP at 5:30 to not risk a long wait at KS?

Any advice? Thanks!!!

I would do FOP at rope drop and then go right to KS. I think if you wait for, and ride NRJ you'll have a pretty good wait at KS. After the safari, you should be near you FP time for EE. Then you could try stand-by for some other attractions, see a show and have lunch, snack, etc. before your 4:25 and 5:30 FP's.

Yeah I think I need to go right to KS after FOP and keep Navi FP. That way I get all 3 in. Thanks!!

Yeah, since you have a NRJ FP I agree with the strategy to go straight to KS after FOP. Keep in mind that once you have a FP for a ride it becomes pretty easy to play the "modify FP" game in the app on the day-of and try to move it up. Keep checking the app and hitting the "modify" button while you're in line for other things, and you may be able to move it up to an earlier part of the day. If all you're trying to do is change the time of the FP it's fewer clicks to go through the menus, so it's quicker than trying to reserve a new FP from scratch.

If you indeed get to the park 1 hour before opening (or slightly more), proceed to FOP quickly with the masses. Do not stop for pictures. You should be able to rope drop FOP, and then hop over to NRJ. You can then head over to KS. The wait should not be too long. You should be done in time for your EE FP slot. That will allow you to drop NRJ FP, and try for a second ride on FOP.

We were at AK on the day of the marathon in Jan. The park opened at 8:15 (for a 9:00 opening), and we walked off FOP at exactly 9:00. We walked right onto NRJ. It’s not a super long ride, so I would think that if you have the same luck, you could ride NRJ then head to KS without much of a wait.

I think it really depends what tiem you get off FoP.
When we were there, we were let into FoP at 8:45, off about 9. Navi had a walk online and were out o fPandora by 9:10. As most of the poeple coming into the park are headed to FoP of Navi, if you are one of the early ones , you probablt can do both and get to Safari before it gets a long line.
I also would consider dropping the Dinosaur FP and getting one for Safari if you can. When we have been there, the standby line for Safari has always been longer than the line for Dinosaur.

Your FP+ are really spread out. Move them closer together. If you're going to be in the park after 6pm, which it sounds like you will be, Safari line goes waaaay down. It's a walk on ride the last 2 hours the park is open, so you can also do it then.
