College! I am an Iowa Hawkeye, DH is an Iowas State Cyclone. We have a mixed marriage . I never watched football before being married to him. If he could, he would watch from 11am-midnight or later every Saturday. Not a pro fan. I just don't think it's nearly as fun--since they are making millions it jsut doesn't have the same feel to me.

Funny story--we live in NE. Everyone here is assumed to be Cornhusker fans, which we are not. So at conferences the other day I told DD's band director that I don't think she should have to play "Nebraska U" (Husker song). I said it's bad enough they have chosen Michigan's fight song for their own school song. He didn't really know what to say . I was only joking but I guess he wasn't sure

DH is alternately yelling at the TV or cheering at the TV. . .but much more yelling and groaning tonight than cheering!!

I just walk by and quietly smile once in a while. . .


Not that I'm rooting FOR the Tide. . .Just AGAINST UGA!

(I swear I used to cheer for UGA except when they were playing Tech, but all that ended on that long ago day when I caught DH teaching my then-2-year-old son to cheer for whoever happened to playing Tech!!)

Well the cheering and the yelling is going both ways. I knew it would be a different 2nd half. UGA had to come out for blood. Bama isn't doing as good.

All they have to do is hold them! HOLD THEM BAMA! HOLD! I swear the clock hasn't moved off that 2 minute mark at all!

Auburn fan here! Went to the game today. I love all the traditions and pageantry in college football. I get chills every time I see the eagle fly and the band run out onto the field for pregame.
