foods you used to love but can't find anymore

From my childhood:

Danish Go-Rounds (like pop tarts but shaped different)
Chipsters
King Vitamin
Birdseye Frozen Chocolate pudding (it came in a brown tub and you had to deforst it)

And a local favorite - Grunning's Hot Fudge - sooooo delicious!!

Not a food, but does anyone else miss the old paper straws you'd get at McD's? ... OK, I don't MISS them, but I'd love to give my kids the challenge of sucking up a shake with them without collapsing them :rotfl2: (make that a homemade shake, I still don't know or trust what they make their's out of)

Oh, I forgot. I used to love those Chicken Littles sandwiches at Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Oh man. You're all making me so hungry!

I swear I've seen marathon bars lately but I could be wrong. I know Snickers makes 2 bars now they CALL a marathon bar.

Keebler Tato Skins are now sold under a label with TGIFridays on them. They're the same thing, just a new label (red and white diagonal stripes).

Was I the only person who LOVED Burple??!?!

I also miss the cheese danishes from McDonald's...I think you can find them still in some locations from time to time. Those were the ONLY thing I would eat at McDonald's for breakfast. Everything else reminded me of that nasty "car trip" smell from my childhood days.

There was some company that made these brownie ice cream sandwich things too. I never knew who made them-whenever I babysat for my neighbors I'd nick one from the freezer. :D

Another thing I loved that went away for a long time that recently returned were the brownie mixes that came with a peanut butter pack that you made stripes in the brownies with. Mmm.

Jello 1.2.3! Foam, sauce and jellyjammy!!!

pinnie

Olive butter. It came in a small jar, was minced olives, pimentos (haven't got a clue about the other ingredients). Mixed with cream cheese for a sandwich.
My mom & I loved this stuff.

Breakfast Taquitos - Frozen Taquitos with bacon, egg and cheese rolled up. I used to buy them at Wal Mart, they disappeared for awhile, came back... now they're gone again. Cancelled item.

Morton's Doughnuts. I think they were sold in the frozen food aisle, and they were these little doughnuts (maybe 6-8 to a box) and were coated in granulated sugar. Yumm!

Also, I remember loving this one kind of frozen pizza, maybe from Hungryman, that was square or rectangular and was in some kind of metal tray (like the kind TV dinners used to come in).

ETA: More recently, Kelloggs discontinued the Apple-Cranberry Special K Breakfast bars. That was the only flavor I liked. And a few years ago Knorrs had a dip mix called Chili Caliente (sp?) that was awesome, but that was discontinued as well.

Waffle-O's cereal and vanilla Cookie Crisp.

The mention of Wal-Mart reminds me...Sam's used to have the BEST fruit salad in their refrigerated section. It was in a big squarish container with a red lid and had stuff like grapes, pineapple, peaches (I think)...BASIC fruits, which I loved. Not all fancy stuff. I used to go through one of those containers a week; I ate it every morning for breakfast. I miss it.

American cheese with bits of pepperoni in it. My mom used to get it for us every once in awhile (from the deli). I still keep an eye out just in case they decide to bring it back.

There used to be a Hostess (I think) and I can't for the life of me remember the name of it. I know it was sold in 1994-1995 when I went to college because I lived off them. The were long devil's food cake with a chocolate whipped cream layer in the middle. It was topped with chocolate icing and chocolate sprinkles.

I have searched online for the name and found "Choco-Bliss" to be the closest thing, but the top icing was the wrong color and the sprinkles were missing. I think Choco-Bliss was discontinued earlier than my college days.

Anybody else know what I'm talking about? :confused3

Carnation Breakfast Bars - I never ate them for breakfast, but instead would eat them while watching "Alice" and "One Day at a Time" reruns after school.

Lemon Fruit Wrinkles - they looked like yellow raisins! I LOVED those when I was in high school!

Mr Phipps Pretzle Chips, oh those with a bit of wispride cheese spread, yum! They were the size of say, Ritz crackers, but very thin and crispy pretzles.

I'm pretty sure I remember those, but I couldn't tell you the name of them for the life of me. Were they the size of Zingers, or were they bigger?
