Am I the only weirdo who won't eat certain foods that remind me of something bad?

------------

I don't like hot dogs. I had a hot dog for lunch on my 1st day of chemo, and ever since they've made me nauseaus. If I even thought about it, I would be sick and run for the toilet. I choked down a hot dog last night, and it stayed down! I was so proud of myself.
I don't like raisins. They remind me of elderly/old people. They're all old and shriveled up. I'm not trying to be mean, but they really do.

lol I don't eat hot dogs, frozen pizza, tator tots, or doritos. I don't eat hot dogs because I once had one that tasted really bad. The rest I don't eat because they made me sick last time I had them.

Kraft Dinner - Almost threw it up one day when we had friends over, because I was forced to eat it when I wasn't hungry, and wasn't allowed to play utnil I finished it.

Bananas - I told my mother one morning before going up to see my grandparents that I DID NOT WANT A BANANA. I was not hungry, and did not like bananas. Not even fifteen minutes into the drive up, I throw up all over the backseat of my uncles car.

Bananas. I think they are gross and my grandparents gave me one to eat at their house, but they didn't know I thought they were gross. I didn't want to be rude so I ate a couple bites and had to try my hardest to keep it down, which I luckily did.

Corn. Tastes gross, and smells horrible. I literally start gagging when I smell corn which unfortunately is something my brother eats all the time.

Grilled Cheese sandwhich. Something I shall never attempt to eat again. I was sick and felt horrible the past 3 times I tried to eat one.

Corn Dogs.
I was supposed to go to my cousin's conformation and I had a corn dog earlier in the day and right before we were supposed to leave I threw it up. So I stayed home and watched Princess Diaries with my dad.

Macaroni and cheese.
I had an au pair when I was little who insisted I ate mac and cheese at my friend's house, even though I told her millions of times how much I hated it. So, I ate it and threw up all over myself, and then wasn't allowed to play with my friend because she was angry that I threw up.
Yeah, she wasn't my favorite au pair.

Starburst
During wrestling i would use them to make myself salvilate to spit but afterwards i would have a sugar coating in my mouth that tasted and felt awful

WARNING: MAY RESULT IN TMI! PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

One day my parents got the BRILLIANT idea to order some sushi. I felt daring and decided to try it. My brother however, didn't want to so my mom made him Mac&Cheese. I ate a couple pieces of sushi which tasted fine, then I got a gross after taste. Mind you, this was about...15-25 minutes after Mac&Cheese was done cooking and was chilling on the stove. I decided I would eat some of the Mac&Cheese so my mom got me a plate and heated it up. It still tasted cold and when I told my mom she said that I needed to eat something and forced me to eat it. About a half hour later, I ran to the bathroom and threw it all up. HERE'S THE DISGUSTING PART: I had a spacer in the roof of my mouth...a piece of Mac&Cheese got stuck in the top portion of my spacer! I had to push it out with my finger. I shall never eat Mac&Cheese again. I'm gagging writing this ridiculously long story. Haha.

I don't like raisins. They remind me of elderly/old people. They're all old and shriveled up. I'm not trying to be mean, but they really do.

That made me laugh! Hahahaha. :)

Funnel cakes.
I once at too much and got on a ride, and now powdered sugar, and any type of that waffle stuff.

Makes me SICK.
Hate it.

Im okay now, but for the LONGEST time, I couldn't eat powdered sugar.

bacon- ate a bacon flavored bertie bott then spit it out and got it in my hair the smell of the bacon wouldnt come out for like 3 weeks :headache:

corned beef- ate and lost a tooth totally grossed out by that as well

Tortillas-make my nauseous every time I eat them, I don't know why.

Veggie Breakfast Sausage- Sounds weird, but I used to love them. I couldn't and wouldn't eat them for so long, because I had a stomach virus and after eating them threw up in school during choir practice, during "let the river flow" of all songs :sad2: So I just didn't like them. I can eat them now, but I rarely do.

Probably more but I'm blanking out now.

KFC.

WARNING! MAY CAUSE YOU TO BE NAUSEOUS!

i had a hamburger at the rah rah rochester fest two summers ago. (jemberly!!!) and a while after we had kfc for dinner. about two hours after that i became VOILENTLY sick. i had a horrible case of food poisoning. i spent the whole night either running to the toilet, sitting on the toilet, or looking into the toilet. the worst part was that you could see the chicken bits. i now know, thanks to jemberly, that you arent supposed to eat the burges anyways.

wish i knew that before!!

Blueberries. I watched Willy Wonka and the chocolate facotry when i was four. for a really long time, i was convinced that i'd turn into a blueberry if i ate one. [the blueberry scene scared me for years!]

i watch the movie, and love it dearly.
i just don't eat blueberries.

I won't eat at Olive Garden because I had a really bad prom experience after eating there.

And I can't eat sausage because I puked it up when I was five.

buttermilk.

3 years old. grandmas house. big glass. reached in fridge for milk for breakfast. couldnt read. took a huge drink. threw up. nasty.

I refuse to eat any fish because when i was 5 my dad took the batter off of one for me and it still had an eye! Yeh i know that's a really stupid reason.

Most of the foods I connect with bad memories, I still eat, but everytime I eat it, it reminds me of it.

Bananas are the only thing I guess I still don't eat.
When I was little though, I avoided everything that made me puke or almost made me puke (like all but one of my memories of being ill happened in a car, so it was all likely motion sickness).

I used to avoid:

Bananas.
Kraft Dinner.
Chocolate milk.
Apple juice.
Hot dogs (for a brief period)

I also, and still refuse to eat sour cream and cheese noodles. I don't know the exact name, but it's these like gross stringy noodles that you cook, and then you put sour creme and cheese flavored powder sauce stuff..
Oh they're gross. It smells awful.
For the longest time, when my family ate KD or those noodle things, I would take the milk carton and the pop bottles and put them in front of their food so I couldn't see it.

Seafood. One time I ate this noodle at a chinese restuarant and I thought it was just a regular noodle but it had seafood in it. Gross!

Milk. My sister made me drink it and I threw up. Ever since then I've hated it.

Fish sticks
When I was little my mom made alphabet tater-tots and threw fish sticks in with them and said they were the letter I. Now I can't eat either fish sticks or alphabet tater-tots.
