WITH A FAMILY OF FOUR CAN ANYONE SUGGEST A GOOD MEAL PLAN TO SAVE MONEY OF COURSE WE WANT TO EAT BUT MAYBE A SMALL BREAKFAST,A SNACKY LUNCH AND A BIG SUPPER CAN ANYONE HELP?

For a quickie breakfast in the room for my boys, I like to buy Entenmans (sp?) doughnuts and things in the resort gift shop. Since the prices are already on the boxes (just like at home), WDW doesn't hike up the prices for these products. I also buy milk, and usually bring some fruit. This keeps them happy till we hit the parks.
We usually either have a big lunch or a big supper, and our other meal is counter service.

I recommend you go more with a big lunch and a snacky dinner. Lunch prices are usually cheaper than dinner for the same food.

Cosmic Rays in Magic Kingdom has a good deal on a whole rotisserie chicken & mashed potatoes for about $16.

Trail's End at Fort Wilderness has an excellent buffet at a reasonable price: Lunch is $9 for adults/ $6 child. Here's a link to the menu

Have you looked at the menus on Deb Wills' site ? You can at least get a good idea about how much things will cost.

I second Dandave's suggestion about bringing breakfast foods for your room. You can also buy a small cooler to keep milk and cream cheese, etc.
